No because flw is more like fishing the Bass opens anyone can do it. Hell I fished a few flw and bass opens but to leave the elites the way they did I and many people I talk to thought it was really shitty. To try and bury an organization that made most of them famous and wealthy was in bad taste. And ya people will say they don’t have to pay entry fees but cmon most of them didn’t really have to worry about that anyway. It really doesn’t matter I don’t have any skin in the game but I do definitely like watching Bass I find BPT boring and preachy.

I agree with what George Cochran said Bill and Roland and Jimmy spent the whole year trying to win every tournament and angler of the year and they all three had TV and appearances and things they had to do all over the country and I think that really put them at a disadvantage and you could say used up some of their luck you just can't win everything the same year.

It would be great had they one the classic. Houston has two Angler of the year titles. Dance has 3. And Martin has 9. Angler of the year is being more consistent throughout the year then winning the Classic. I left BASS years ago after they had Greatest Angler Of All Time contest. Rick Clunn won Martin came in second. I didn’t like the direction the organization was going at the time. So I never renewed my membership. Dance, Martin, Houston and Nixon will always be my favorites and the ones I learned the most from watching them.

It’s not any harder to win a Classic than it is an Elite Series events. In fact, it’s probably easier to win a Classic because your facing against 50 anglers instead of 100. plus the Classic is only over 3 days instead of 4. Obviously the Classic only comes once a year, so they don’t have as many opportunities to win one.

A lot of great anglers can't even make it to the classic. If you haven't fished it I don't think you can truly understand it.
