Really want to go to the Kelpies. Ooh free parking too! Wow the wheel looked amazing! Such a great trip. Are dogs allowed on the wheel? Site looked very nice. Looked great for Roxy too along the old railway track. ( once you got there) very nice 👍😊🧙‍♂️

Yes the free parking was great. The Kelpies up close are really amazing and would definitely recommend, the wheel was a good experience too and not too far from the Kelpies. Dogs are allowed on the wheel, there were a couple on when I was on. We like The Woods as it was handy and had everything we wanted after wandering around the wheel and Kelpies, thank you, all the best, David & Rachel 👍

I have seen plenty of vlogs on the Falkirk Wheel but this is the first I’ve seen the boat trip from inside and out. I also saw the Kelpies in Rick and Heather’s video so this is also on our to do list. It was nice to see there is a good campsite not too far away with somewhere to eat. Take care Gill

The wheel definitely looks like a great piece of engineering and great footage from inside and outside. Love the Kelpies, we managed to park at the top for free as there was an event on that even5so they had closed the bottom carpark so a great bonus. The campsite also looked very nice e, clean and tidy with great views.

A really interesting idea. It’s great that you include dog related issues in your reviews. We have three small dogs so it’s always good to know what the dog walking is like. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. Pleased it’s been useful to cover regarding dogs, it’s something we always try to find a suitable site with somewhere to take Roxy for a walk. It’s a shame some places don’t allow dogs inside as in the rain or poor weather it would be a problem for us as we wouldn’t want to leave her in the van and go out for dinner. Bet that boat ride was fantastic, what a lovely place. Always wanted to go there after seeing Bob Earnshaw and Jenny there a few years ago i think. The Kelpies look awesome, seen pictures of them at night, amazing :-)

Hi both, what a great day out both attractions, Andy Scott’s miniature Kelpies used to be at the Falkirk Wheel area, down near the jetty, he made them first to get get funding for the main project. Thanks Mike, really enjoyed going to see them - another dimension seeing them in real life rather than on film up close. We did pass them when we hired the Motorhome in 2020 but it was great to see them specifically - the little ones were cute - didn’t know they had moved from the wheel, great to hear the story. You’re right, It looks magical when you see photos or video of them illuminated, I can only imagine if you are there it’s even more special (similar to in the day something special you just can’t capture unless you are actually there). Right time of year after Hoddom to see them in the dark, we happened to be there almost at the longest day 😀 Thanks again to you both for the inspiration from your Scotland series in ‘21 to visit them, it feels such a long time ago and was originally planned for us to do pretty much the trip we’ve done this year last year so has been on the list since your vlog 👍 Anyway, great excuse to go back again isn’t it All the best, David & Rachel 👍
