Rip finding out the “secret” would hurt him, yes, but I don’t think it would affect or change his love for Beth. It would only deepen his understanding of this woman that he has known and loved all his life; finally, he would understand all the ‘why’s’ of her erratic behaviors. Furthermore, I think it would only create a more intimate bond between them. Revealing your ‘secrets’ and finding unconditional love afterwards, well, isn’t that what we are all searching for? To completely KNOW someone and to be KNOWN by them…isn’t that the foundation of true intimacy.

Truly talented actors, both of them. Actress Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth, really puts on the performance of her life when she plays this role. I think the casting director really nailed it when it came to choosing the actors. This is an excellent show and I can't wait to see what season 5 brings!

I wish the writers would have written the scenes with Carter a bit differently. I love Beth and Rip's dynamic but they sort of treat Carter badly. I get that these two have zero idea how to handle a young kid but it was almost a bit too cringy and as a mother i couldn't help but feel sorry for Carter. Hopefully both Beth and Rip will learn to treat Carter better as they navigate this new relationship.

I mean he should've told her what the nurse had told him about sterilization but she did ask him to take her and she didn't ask the nurse herself either... Idk what y'all think? @@jill5519 it was Beth's responsibility to ask questions regarding the procedure. Beth was so headstrong as a child and even more so as an adult. Jamie probably saw this as a means to an end, Beth probably would have gotten pregnant again.
