Yay! I'm so glad that getting the decants worked so well.

Suggest trying Devotion by D&G - lemon panna cotta vibes. It may combine your love for citrus fragrance with added gourmand notes.

Oh and another recommendation is Bosca Vanilla by Guerlain. It’s a perfect vanilla fragrance for people who don’t like vanilla fragrances. It mixes a very natural light vanilla with a driftwood accord - it has a fresh salty quality to it plus the woody notes. Love it smells expensive and high quality

I like vanilla fragrances though haha! I can be a little nose blind to them, which is my only frustration 😩

It’s the coumarin in BL that’s giving you that initial sharpness. A lot of people experience it. Some people like it, some people don’t.

Hey Kat, I am verrrry similar to you in fragrance preference so I have a couple of recommendations regarding sweet fragrances; Pink Cloud by Ariana Grande shocked me with how delicious it is, and Sol de Janeiro 48 (more fruity). Both are crazy good!

i think we might have similar taste in perfume (i have a strong affinity for light watery fruity/citrus perfumes and subsequently struggle to find gourmands i like, often even if i like the scent profile it's too overpowering on my senses to wear on my own skin!) so i'll throw in a suggestion of trying maison margiela matcha meditation! still has citrus as the top but then it settles into a delicious white chocolate matcha latte type scent with a pinch of white florals. literally one of my faves of all time and i even sprung for the big boy bottle bc at least in uk climate it works all year round

I too spend way too much on fragrance decants 😅 I much prefer Borabora over Bianco Latte from Giardini di Toscana! Borabora also has a gourmand caramel drydown but it's less chemical than Bianco Latte on me, and the opening is a tropical coconut-floral "elevated suntan" smell that is just so delicious!

I recommend you try Akro bake and Cassomarati Lira

I have samples of both! Just waiting to use them ☺️

I have a love/hate relationship with BL. I bought the full size after going through a decant (they gave me a $20 off any bottle coupon). It definitely has an extreme sharpness in the opening but on me it fades to a nice milky vanilla scent. One issue is that it absolutely sticks to clothes. I sprayed a hoodie (that I don't wash super often) and I could still smell it at full strength days later. I still like it but 100ml will last me at least a decade. I found the best gourmands imo come from small indie houses. Like stuff made in someone's basement or garage. The US has a lot of indie brands readily available but I don't know any AU ones unfortunately.

Not sure if you can get the Lavanila line in Australia but would recommend for a nice vanilla. Vanilla grapefruit is my favorite. The grapefruit opening only lasts for 15 min or so and tries down into a rich vanilla. When I wear it my husband says I smell like a cookie in a good way.

Hey Kat, I was able to buy a 10 ml decant last year and despite buying a full bottle earlier this year, I am still using that decant! a little really does go a long one with this one. I hope they offer different sizes in the future as the 100 ml bottle is going to last me (if it doesn't go bad) forever! Etsy and eBay are also great options for perfume decants especially for niche perfumes😊😊

Spiritueuse Double Vanille - Guerlain. Best gourmand ever. Second to me Guerain Angelique Noir . Beware guerlain vanillas are exceptional and addictive. ( cuir beluga, tonka imperiale and more)

Oh Kat, you should try Khamrah by Lattafa. It smells like delicious apple pie and lasts forever. One of my favorite gourmands.

It looks nice! Possibly too spicy for me though, too much spice can give me headaches 😅

Hey fellow Aussie 🥰 from watching this, I suspect you might understand when I say I cant deal with the lactonic smell of Bianco Latte. I saw on your other video that you love Whiff of waffle. Im contemplating blind buying but nervous if it also has a synthetic milky smell as well? What are your thoughts? Thanks! 🥰
@KitschSnitch17 күн бұрын
Hey ya! I totally understand what you mean, and no it doesn’t have that lactonic scent. It is very strong and has a bit of an almost smoky woody base, but no creaminess (in my opinion) ☺️

Hey, love you, but please take the stuff out of the plastic wrap before filming. The crinkling is so loud and horrible with headphones

Completely agree. I didn’t realise it was making that sound until it was already filmed. Definitely didn’t do it on purpose haha

Perfume usually doesn't last on my body, no matter the brand, high end or drug store. 😅

Get other people's opinions too - I go nose blind to my own fragrance in about 15 minutes but whoever's sitting next to me will be able to smell it.
@KitschSnitch3 ай бұрын
I sometimes do ask for other people’s opinions, but I’m more interested in my experience, since I’m the one having to wear it. Edit: I also don’t see many people besides my family since I work from home, so offending people isn’t a big issue. Also all the notes that tend to make fragrances project, are notes that make me feel ill, so most my daily fragrances are skin scents or low projection scents.
@denisha85963 ай бұрын
@@KitschSnitch Sorry Kat, I didn't mean for that to sound like it was directed to you. I wanted to let @jenniferlyons4150 know that I also thought nothing lasted on me until I realised other people could still smell my fragrances and that it was me acclimatising to them unusually fast that was the issue.

Bianco latte is just wayyyyy too much for me. It's like taking a giant bite of a stick of butter straight from the fridge. Makes me gag.
@KitschSnitch4 ай бұрын
It is a lot. The dry down is nice but it’s extreme in the first couple of hours.
@someusername41294 ай бұрын
Definitely is very overwhelming. I like caramel but I just couldn't get on with this one. I will try it again in cold weather, maybe it won't give so much thick stickiness.

Luckily it’s cold here. In summer it would give me a headache 🤢
