Another great program, and Judy Gold is such a treasure. I'm with her on living separately! The first time I heard about couples doing that it struck me as really strange, but I'm too settled and happy with my living situation now to disrupt it to see if I can deal with living with a partner! The demise of strict cultural control over these parts of our lives, leaves lots of people feeling adrift and threatened, but the more people learn to think for themselves and find their own way, the better off we all are. I would like to correct something - the Russian Orthodox Church has a direct role in anti LGBTQ discrimination in Russia. The church and culture work in an insidious feedback loop of fear and enmity, both encouraging each other, in the name of "preserving culture and faith."
