Man i love it when you talk about space and aliens and all that jazz. It really feels like its us and you just thinking about the wildness of the universe. Never stop being you chris, you're awesome

damn, that's a really cool-looking map. Too bad the placements aren't limited to like, asteroids or planets or something though. Would've been a cool gimmick.

Chris, if you make a channel that’s just you talking about things you’re interested in, I would 100% watch it.
@quinneady91725 ай бұрын
is that not what this channel is tho, just with a bit of BTD in the background.

I enjoyed the more human aspect of this gameplay - spending so much time talking about something you're passionate about that you hadn't even purchased overclock

sjb, i just wanted to tell you that these are my absolute favouite videos of you. watching chilly, good btd gameplay, talking about the strategy a bit and just you talking about the most interesting things like space. its just so fascinang. thats all :)

I'm a fan of the theory that there are aliens out there but they're just less advanced or as advanced as us. Meaning they can't visit us because they don't have the technology yet.

Nothing better than listening to someone talk about the universe whilst popping some bloons. Good Luck in 2024 mate wishing you all the best!

this is the best take/standpoint ive ever heard in one of your videos. Its just the scientific explanation

I totally agree with the space stuff. My grandpa was actually a rocket scientist during the Apollo missions so it’s very close to home 😊

Actually SJB. We've recently proven that light isn't the speed cap of the universe. When particles are entangled they must be moving in mirrored directions at all times, no matter how far they are from each other. This means that SOMEHOW, data between entangled particles travels instantaneously. So theory is getting there

That likely means that the entanglement model is incorrect. Better to offload the problem into a more fundamental level of reality than to forego one of the only fundamental science truths we seem to have. Also strange to apply a very human concept, like 'data' and 'travel' to such a phenomenon.
@caracentral5 ай бұрын
@@charliecampbell6851 the theory of relativity isn't a law, so it's not a truth. Look at the paper yourself they won a Nobel prize for it and it's very interesting because I definitely grossly simplified it
@SJB25 ай бұрын
Not exactly. The idea that information can not travel faster than light still holds. Light is really weird though.

...This planet can't be the only thing out there with life. Also, if aliens are around and have seen us already and are constantly visiting the planet, just...why can't they just show themselves already. Blow up our crappy planet, enslave us, or go the h fantasy route and breed us dammit, there better be tentacles, lol.

If you like space I really highly recommend Cool Worlds (a youtube channel sorry for plugging someone else) especially 'watching the end of the world' video is my favorite video on the whole platform

I reckon the further from the center of the universe potential life is, the more likely they are to be intelligent. I believe this because their home planet has been around longer, and thus given the life forms more time to evolve. Note: look up the dyson sphere theory which measures a civilization by their ability to harness energy, ranging from home planet, all the way to the entire universe.

People really underestimate the size of the universe. The closest star to our own is 4 light-years away. Which means that by going at ligh speed, the fastest possible speed, it woul take 4 years to get to it. The closest galaxy is 2.5 million light years away. It would take that much time to reach here from there at light-speed

If the universe is almost infinite, then even the smallest percentage is a *lot*. Of course untill faster then light travel comes along we can't go find more resources out there

I think the scale of the universe is proof that there’s more life out there, and also explains why none of them would visit us lol

If can transfer our mind or our thoughts threw electricity. We can travel far across the universe. We just can’t physically be there but our thoughts and mind will. The only physical way we humans can travel the universe is our grand kids, grandkids after we send a ship into space. We won’t make it but our grandkids will

There are no billions of galaxies in the observable universe, it is estimated to be around 2 TRILLION of them. Well, technically, that can count as billions whatever.

For something that has been created it must have a creator. Thus God and, or Jesus is the most solid evidence if that's what your looking for how we got here today. Guided by faith not sight, is the main part but using evidence there are a significant amount of artifact's and geographical locations which cross reference story's in the Bible. That's my short take on how we got here tbh.

It seems quite unlikely that we are the only "life" in the universe. I still think there is more "life" that isn't like us, maybe even here on earth. How can we really even define things outside of a human perspective?
@jacobsquare48125 ай бұрын
We think in human terms. How can we say there isn't a bunch of non-human intelligence we just don't understand? And when we think of things in terms of space travel and distance, how can we say that some other intelligence would come about it the same way as us, using the same slow means? On Earth we have a lot of common evolutionary traits that happened in different places at different times, but all with the commonality of Earth. Can we say there isn't some other force that could simply travel through what we perceive as "space" just by a little. . . Thought? Nudge of the mind?

Even finding microbial life on an exoplanet would be a massive breakthrough
@charliecampbell68515 ай бұрын
Why would you want to define things in a non-human way? Such a concept is impossible. Any way we conceive an idea is, by definition, a human way.
