That's such an ignorant comment to make. You think a WOMEN in a small town would have power to stop something like this? Who's to say she didn't try (yes they didn't talk long to her). But if the detective was getting told to stop by higher-ups and people of the town, you REALLY think that woman could have done something? This has nothing to do w/ being "anti-gay", the gay thing is just the backdrop. This could have happened in a camp for wayward kids where they're sent to become "obedient" children again. That man that ran that camp, and any other person who ran that camp, have deeper rooted issues than homosexuality. That's just their OUTLET to take their anger out because they're unhappy with whatever it is.

I myself went to a camp like this when I was a teen. I wanted so much to be "normal" that I went on my own volition. After 5 months of constant torture, starvation and forced to do horrendous activities I decided I just wanted to be me. They had some horrid methods, drugs, beatings, hooked up electrodes to our erogenous zones and showed gay images and electrocuted us, then showed hetero images and made it vibrate and feel good, as well as given drugs that made one ill when shown gay images and drugs that made one feel good when shown hetero images. I knew I wanted to leave, but the last straw was when a young man in my room hung himself because he knew he couldn't change and his parents would disown him. I still have nightmares, anxiety and I don't know if I will ever be fully over it. I am at peace with myself, but I have moments when I see things, remember things and I shake uncontrollably. I pray that these camps are stopped, I pray that people stop using God for their own sick and twisted beliefs. I still love God, that is one things that won't change, but people like this aren't representative of the God know and love.

This breaks my heart considering I met him while we both were in this program; I obviously was in the girl’s part, but he’s such a sweetheart and I still to this day have contact with him and it’s so so sad. It was a horrible experience and he was one of the few who had enough courage to stand up in court to them.

As a gay helicopter, I find this offensive. My owners placed me in a special hangar with no heating during winter. In the end I couldn't take it anymore so I fired all my missiles and machine gun at the whole place and flew away.
