Totally interested. I’m actually writing a book on this topic right now.

@@TobyQuan how are you approaching the subject? From him biblical standpoint? From a historical standpoint? A conspiratorial standpoint? All three?

@@lonestarstate6570 I want to write a book for young people that explains how the Bible came together. I'd like it to be in a comic book format, like the Sunday School comics we grew up with in Church. Except in these stories, it will be about the different groups of people that actually wrote the Bible. It will tell the story of how one group of Jews wrote some parts, because they believed certain things. Then it will cover other Jews who believed different things, and how they added parts to the Bible to represent how they saw God. And same with the New Testament, how each Gospel was made by different people, each with their own theological slant. And then a special chapter on just the book of Daniel, and how that book came together. It's a very interesting topic! I want to make it very easy to understand, and not too complex or technical.

Hey Study of Christianity! I’m glad to see you’re still making awesome content. I think I was one of your first patreons, but I haven’t been watching your videos for a long time now. I have a lot to catch up on! I’m glad I’ve still been a patreon all this time even if it’s only a little each month. My mind was blown taking The Bible Project’s free Classroom class, “Heaven and Earth” (I believe it’s called “Ancient Cosmology” now). Check it out if you have 16 spare hours, lol. I’m glad you aren’t shying away from the (literary, not scientific) reality of “flat earth” in the bible. Cool to see similar material and conclusions from a different perspective. You both have helped me see the Bible more clearly, though I get the sense that you may disagree on the Jesus’ Lordship. Just a guess, and I could be wrong. I’m very thankful for your work. I am curious, what got you into biblical studies?

Dear David, You are my very first Patron!! I often think about how my first ever Patron has never left me, Thank You! Your ongoing donations have meant so much! That Bible Project class sounds fantastic, i'm looking into it now! What got me into Biblical studies? I grew up believing the Bible was inerrant, and while i no longer hold that belief i still find the Bible the absolutely fascinating. I hope by making these videos i can help people see the Bible more clearly. Thank you so much again for your ongoing support!! It means so much! I've am about to send you a link to my website which contains lots of exclusive Patreon only videos.

I’ve been totally invested in understanding more of the Bible and its cohesion through your videos! One of the topics I’m stuck on is the theological approach to the genealogies. If Matthew’s Genealogy is a more direct trace through Joseph, how would you approach the topic of Joseph not being a blood relative to Jesus?
@thestudyofchristianity6 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for your comment. That’s another really tough issue. Unfortunately I don’t have an answer for you. Both genealogies are definitely through Joseph, but according to both Matthew and Luke, Jesus is not a blood relative of Joseph. So why give us the genealogy at all? I wish I had an answer

What do you mean? They would believe that they had simply by looking up. We can't see the entire sphere ourselves, only "half" of it...therefore, dome-like.
