In addition, the last two years I have also gone thru the Bible using "The Bible Recap" with TLC. I am about to embark on using both again in 2025. This has been so helpful for me in managing my life and relationships.

I finished my first Bible Recap journey in 2024 and part of me was thinking - maybe try another plan? I was on YouVersion sampling other Bible in a Year plans, but nothing compares to this, so I’m back for my second year! 🎉 Tara Leigh’s genuine love for scripture and desire for others to understand and love it to, comes through every day. I also really enjoyed reading chronologically rather than parts of the old and new testaments, Psalms and Proverbs. It felt less scattered and more focused and I was able to really grasp the meta narrative by reading in this way. Anyway, I can’t thank Tara Leigh enough for the thought and care and time love she poured into this. Can’t wait to do it again and learn even more! 🙌🏻

The Bible Recap has absolutely CHANGED my life! I've been a christian most of my life, (63 yers old!), and have read lots of the Bible. Heard thousands of sermons, read countless Christian books, used stacks of devotionals,,, blah blah blah... but THIS approach and THIS shift in focus has changed everything for me! I've done the Bible Recap once and thought it was Uuuuuuhmaaaazing! I since decided to try other plans, just to broaden my horizons, but none of them hold a candle to Tara-Leigh Cobble, and I was unable to stick to any of them! I’ve since discovered heart dive, and she reads the day’s bible portion, then comments on it. I could listen while I’m doing activities at least! At the start of the year I was trying to decide on which yearly plan to do this year. I had narrowed it down to this one and another one. I was going to pick the other plan but my finger tapped this one. I consider it a God selection. This plan is so informative with the overview insights. I also love the voice actor that reads the scripture. He brings the scripture to life.

@Joshua, I’m super excited for you!! When I first went through the Bible, I had so many questions, and in Genesis, I was spending upwards of two hours a day trying to figure things out. 😆 Thankfully, while still in Genesis, I was blessed to find TBR, and I just started listening to her, which answered many questions, and I decided to let my others questions go my first round through and just absorb what I can and get an overview. It was amazing to be able to see the forest through the trees at the very end. Many days, if I was too tired to read, I’d just listen to an audio version and then follow up with Tara-Leigh. Thanks to your other encouraging reply to me, I think I’ll start doing that again! I’m so excited for you, I hope it goes so well. And no worries if you miss some days here and there. It ended up taking me 13 months to finish. God bless you!! 🙏🏻

I completed TBR the day before yesterday. Yesterday, I started a different reading plan. The only I reading plans i could find was straight scripture. So, I decided to start TBR again. It is the difference between drinking broth and a steak dinner. I truly value the commentary, suggested articles, and videos . This makes learning so much richer. Here we go again! Praise God!

@tara-leigh you may want to mention and tell people the options on the "gears" icon here at KZbin to allow the user to slow down/speed up your videos. Because, for me, you speak too quickly for my comprehension. I listen at 75 percent here and 90 percent in pod bean. Also there is a close captioning option here which I use sometimes. Thanks for helping those who watch your videos here learn a way to experience them taking into consideration personal needs.

This is actually my 10th time through the Bible but my 1st time with The Bible Recap. And to be honest, this is the 3rd attempt at my 10th journey through the Bible. I had become so bored with the stories, instructions, and lists of weird names that I just couldn’t stick with it again. But a friend who wanted the accountability asked me to try this program with her because she had never made it all the way through before on her own. I agreed reluctantly. And I’m so glad I did! Tara Lee Cobble puts such a fresh spin on each day’s verses that it doesn’t feel boring or dreadful at all. In fact it’s the first thing I do when I wake up every morning and it eases me perfectly into my day. Hint for anyone else who struggles with monkey-mind: I color while I’m listening and it helps me stay focused on the Word. 😉

Interestingly enough....I was never able to get through the Bible reading a physical Bible but I've been successful multiple times reading it on my phone. So the Bible App has been an amazing resource for me for years now! I'm looking forward to taking my next trip through the Bible with TBR! I am trying to convince someone to take the trip with me this time so I haven't started yet, but whether it's tomorrow or January..... whether it's solo or with a partner or group .... I'm excited about it!
