Even me too I have watchd a lot of esther movies.. i was depressed, a lot of twistd n bad scripts i found in it... This movie is one of the more accurate ones produced by Lube Productions. They stuck with the Bible on most of what it said, plus areas where they put in extra dialog flowed well with the Bible account and enhanced the story. It is worth watching as it doesn't insult those who know the Bible. I did fast forward through the bedroom scene so I don't know if there was offensive material there. I suspect not, but I have seen some movies about the Bible which actually showed nudity and explicit sex scenes which are not good for the kiddies or the adults for that matter.

Its not whether there was a bedroom scene or not, its giving the public an ACCURATE account of what TRULY transpired, uncut, unedited based on The Scripture. What do you mean "unsafe for kiddies?" Would you remove the Bible off children's reach just because you're afraid they may READ some things written on it that may awaken their desire for sex before its time? Passages like Proverbs 5:19 (WEB) A loving doe and a graceful deer- LET HER BREASTS SATISFY YOU at all times. Be captivated always with her love. Ofc not In your OWN words you're after ACCURACY, so why feel slighted IF there are any bed scenes to it, AS LONG AS IT IS WRITTEN IN SCRIPTURE? You're not after offending men OR your viewers discrimination more than GOD's are you? Adam & Eve were created naked. Is that pornographic? GOD in parabolic detail describes that the Egyptians organs or penises were as big as a donkey, their emissions (or sperms) like horses on Ezekiel 23:19-20, is that considered profane? Moses made the Israelites drink from the molten calf after he ground it to powder, is that being brutal? (Exodus 32:20) At the end of the day, its NOT whether the movie would PLEASE the viewers, but whether the directors LOYAL TO THE WRITTEN WORD, would feed them with the CORRECT and ACCURATE (not twisted) story, based on The Scripture.

I watched this on the eve of Purim. It held my interest totally, I found the acting good and it seemed fairly accurate according the Holy Bible. Definitely worth watching, the end was the most "hollywoodish" of the whole movie..

Oh course this is a movie and there is drama added that is not in the Holy Bible but as far as a movie goes it does follow the story of Ester FAIRLY well and it is worth watching. Reading the story of Esther directly from your Bible is of more importance than watching a movie but if you want to do both I suggest you read your Bible first so you can discern truth.. RELAX PEOPLE!

Well, first off, I'm no atheist, I'm A Believer, but in fairness, Queen Vashti has a point NOT to display her beauty before men who are DRUNK, even if this means defying the king's orders to DISPLAY her beauty before DRUNKEN men. In fact, would ANY Christian women, MARRIED to their husbands, do the same, if their husbands drunk (whether Christian OR not) demands their presence to be displayed before drunk men to LUST upon? If so, let that WOMAN here respond yes. Its NOT fitting for a woman, EVEN if she's NOT a queen to submit herself to her husband's lusts, if this would be demoralizing to her dignity and chastity as a woman. Submission to husbands have LIMITATIONS. Would ANY woman, in her right mind, submit to a husband who often beats her? No. Neither would ANY woman to a drunk husband who would let DRUNKEN men feast their eyes on her to gratify their lusts. The issue here is NOT her disobedience, but her disobedience for a GOOD reason. We see even Hadassah (renamed Esther after the goddess Ashtarte) defied the king's mandate later on by appearing to the king EVEN WITHOUT BEING SUMMONED for the purpose of saving her people, even if this meant death for her, as was for Vashti, who saved her dignity as a woman for being tainted, even if this means her being dethroned from her position as Queen.
