There's a reason why the main Collider channel hasn't grown ... its this constant changing, chopping, playing and experimenting with what the fans like. Look at how Movie Talk's viewership fell when they changed the format .... it has never recovered since, even though they have brought it back to the original setup; look at Heroes' viewership .... look at how the total sub count has been around the same number for years ! None of the new shows or ideas or channels have clicked and the fans are giving up on the old ones! I myself hardly watch Movie Talk ever and don't even remember the last Heroes episode I tuned into. Fluidity and Experimentation is fine but not when you are sacrificing the core and what the fans like to achieve it ! I don't like negative comments and hardly ever leave them anywhere but this is the final nail in the coffin for me ... Au Revoir Collider!

So without Kristian, I’m not interested in half the show, the actual movie content, and I’m unsure if the rest of the crew’s banter will be enough to keep watching. The comment about going into "experimental" stuff like VR and deepfake stuff...yikes, no. When Kristian & Ellis started on AMC with Campea I started watching. When Campea left I had mixed feelings but kept on watching and was excited. When Kristian & Ellis started really taking over, adding a ton of their Schmoe guys, mixed in their WWE fandom and when Kristian stepped away from being infront of the camera and Rocha took over, I was 98% out. I don't have all the time to watch youtube. I HAVE To pick and choose how I spend my time. I chose to watch campea about 3 days a week. then schnep died and I stopped watching heroes religiously.. and I only now watch it 50% of the time. Lol. I literally just started following the show because of Kristian.

I love EVERYONE at Collider, for sure. But, Kristian is the captain of this show and its his baby. I will follow the Schmoes wherever they go. Unfortunately, I can go without the other Collider content.

We're gonna miss you Harloff. I'll continue to watch Collider as well as continuing to follow your journey. Thanks for everything so far

I have been a fan since AMC days, and these shows have been a daily mental break in these bleak times. We love you Kristian and will be following you wherever you are talking. Having the last of the OGs announce his departure did make me shed a few tears, but everyone has been doing us so proud so I know things are in good hands. Stay sweaty.

What I think we're missing (as we were when Campea left, not so much with Ellis) is some articulation of why this is happening. "Kristian is a wild horse" and "we don't see eye to eye" doesn't really feel like an explanation to me. This is disappointing, and with Mark and Kristian being so gentlemanly about the way it went down, I don't understand why they couldn't describe what those differences were. They hinted at something with Mark "wanting it to be more experimental". But what about that did Kristian not like?

I’m still going to listen when Harloff is officially gone. I’ve always enjoyed the rest of the gang on the show, and my enjoyment of this show never changes when Kristian is sick or on vacation. I wish Kristian the best with SEN, I will be checking out everything both him and Collider does in the future.

I knew this was going to happen sooner or later. Kristian is moving on to bigger and better things. I quit watching Movie Talk when Ellis left and Collider Live was the last Collider related show I was still watching but with Kristian leaving I have no interest in watching after he leaves. It was great while it lasted. See you at the Schmoes Entertainment Network.

To be fair; Perri is brilliant on movie talk, it is still a great show.
@kelex125 жыл бұрын
Joshua Gerald Butler I’ve tried watching several times with Perri and it just doesn’t do it for me. I’m not a big fan of her personality. Movie Talk is just too bland and boring now. You need bigger personalities with more charisma.

I'd be SHOCKED if this show is still a thing in 2020. This is such a unique show, a either Fernandez is wanting them to do more outlandish things (which just won't work with Harloff gone) or he's wanting to tame it, and get rid of the R rated humor, and make it more serious so the show can keep getting big time guests (which I have a feeling is what's happening). And the people who came here and got into this show, did not do so for the guests. So, I concur with others that this show is over. I'd be blown away if come early 2020, it's still airing.

Watching kristian, ellis, campea, and schnepp helped me at my lowest and throughout the years it has helped me understand and grow who I am as an individual as stupid as that sounds, but it has. I look forward to their banter everyday. Kristian was the last one left. ill still watch the show but damn im really gonna miss kristian.

Yeah, because the Collider gaming show and collider movie news gets the views 🙄 ugh This Joe Rogan-esque show is the meat and bones. Why would I contribute to Patreon anymore?
@Dahly38895 жыл бұрын
Because the Patreon is for the Schmoedown? It has nothing to do with Collider.

Go to the schmoedown channel and watch the last couple of live streams Kristian has done. The one with Kate and Winston was hilarious. It’s basically collider live, but with them just answering super chats

What are you even talking about? Does Collider even have a patreon? If you are talking about Schmoes, that's already separate & still Kristian.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha, Roxy and Macuga trying to lead a show?!? Cause that worked well for TV talk. The blind leading the blind. I wonder how long before Fernandez tries to sell off this turd he’s created.

Shame that Kristian is leaving. Does anyone have ideas as to what caused his departure? I agree with other comments that Reilly should become the host going forward. Will be interesting to hear Campea's thoughts on this.

Harloff has been the only reason I watch since Campea left. Sure there are some people I enjoy watching on the show from time to time. But Harloff was the leader and the voice or reason when others went full SJW.

Honestly feels like Fernandez has been getting more and more involved in the creative process and Collider has suffered for it, cutting movie talk down, having a large amount of shows go podcast only (even if it wasn't video and just a logo on screen I'd be keeping up with the likes of the Premier League show that I now don't listen to, largely due to it not being here on my list of daily content ready to go), edging his way into panels the last few months when quite frankly he doesn't have the charisma, charm, presence on camera to be a panelist/host (for me at least, he's the reason I can't watch rule of two despite wanting to hear Reilly's thoughts on SW). Honestly wishing Reilly, Josh, Cody and Roxy the best and hope they make it something great, I will continue watching for the moment and will keep a keen eye on Kristian's next moves, would not be surprised if he gets so many people coming after him now given his track record, I just fear a lot of decisions from up top could be detrimental to Collider Live and may make the show an up hill battle for the great talent they have there.

I love the peeps at collider. I love Roxy, Mark, Josh...everyone. But always who was able to keep me coming back to collider live was Kristian. So I see it hard to keep watching ColliderLive when Kristian is gone. I'll definitely try it, because the other members of the show deserve it 200%. I'm just sorry that Kristian is leaving.

My breakdown which is all conjecture. 1. Fernandez is more financially independent and his livelihood is not dependent on Collider so he can afford to be more “experimental”, and since he owns it keeps more of the revenue that Collider generates - think he has more money than the rest so he’s having fun with this side hobby of his. If it fails it won’t mean he has to sell his house. He may be self made or comes from inherited money - who knows. 2. Harloff has a growing family and the money he splits with Fernandez at Collider may be short of what he thinks he’s worth and he needs ro make more money to afford the life he wants and thinks he can make more on his own. 3. I think a mistake or a calculation that some You Tubers make is the belief that they have to report to a studio with all of the expense and rent that comes with utilizing office space - when all they need to do is combine their home into a place to live with a portion of their home converted to a small studio space - that way they eliminate basically all overhead costs. Guests just appear via video conference or report to the home studio. Perhaps not as prestigious and may be harder for important guests to make room for during their promotional tours though. 3. Harloff is not the perfect host and can come across as a little to head strong/brash at times but thats also part of his appeal. He definitely needs the right supporting cast that can soften his personality at times and I think Ellis fit that role the best but it seems as if Ellis decided over a year ago that he really wanted to give stand up his all and that meant sacrificing some time with Harloff and other Collider content. 4. i’d be happy to see Harloff and Campea collaborate but I got the vibe that Campea was turned off by some of Harloffs brashness but I might have read that situation wrong. 5. Mark Reilly is a nice guy but he seems to eager to please his boss Fernandez and just comes across as a little to milk toast for me to tune in regularly. 6. Perri is OK but gd those bangs hanging in her eyes are hard to take - its really distracting to me. 7. Rocha is to annoyingly politically correct - can only take him in small doses. 8. The rest are all supporting cast - good but I fear they can’t anchor anything and hold a decent audience for long. 9. Don’t know how many subs and active daily watchers they need to be profitable but they just don’t seem to have the required amount of subscribers or views to support a studio and pay the rest of the crew/cast to make a decent living - hope I’m wrong. Jeremy Janz has millions more subscribers and I get the sense that he does the home studio thing, Stuckman and Campea I think also go that route. My guess is that they net basically 100% of whatever revenue their channels generate and they have nearly zero overhead costs. 10. I doubt Fernandez will be successful with what he has left and the value of Collider will be basically zero within a few more years- hope I’m wrong though.
