The nurse was not only in the pilot but also 1.16 "The Peanut Reaction" (they went to the hospital after Howard ate a candy bar with nuts) and 4.01 "The Robotic Manipulation" (they went to the hospital after Howard got a robotic hand "stuck" on him).

This is definitely one of my favorite episodes. This is the episode, where you start to see the beginning of Sheldon transition. For the first time, you can actually see that he was more loosen up and free minded. Noticed how in the previous seasons, he felt like he was going to collapse with even the smallest change in his "perfect world," in this episode, he actually found his more humane side. Absolutely beautifully well written. The "Haircut Record's" line was legendary and I crack up everytime, I hear it lol. "Haircut Records" lowkey sounds like a hip hop label with rappers who used to be barbers, in the neighborhood🔥 😂😂😂

As smart as Leonard is, there are multiple times in the show when it is implied that he is terrible at chess. I kinda like it, just because he's intelligent does not automatically mean he must be great at chess. And I do not mean to detract from Penny's win there, winning your first game you ever played in chess is a incredible accomplishment against even a causal chess player.

Leonard has never once won a game of chess nor 3D chess, which as much as I love playing chess, I would love to learn how to play 3D chess

I think the reason Howard is put through wilderness training is in case they crash land the rocket and end up needing to survive in the wild. Poor Howard would become a snack immediately though 😂

Name a single nasa or causminaut rocket that has ever landed and there was actually survivors.

Yep, as far as I've heard, the soyus capsules can land in places where the occupants will have to survive in harsh conditions for some time.

"I've been wasting my time" "Yup" Well no, because routines and boundaries and systems are actually very helpful, especially for people like Sheldon who struggle with uncertainty and rigid thinking. We all need structure to a degree, and Sheldon's rigidity also has a positive side - it helps Sheldon thrive as a scientist, which is defined by rigid, predictable rules, it helps him build positive habits, and in certain situations, it gives him a sense of duty that helps him maintain friendships when he otherwise wouldn't ("It's a social custom"). But yes, it's nice that Sheldon realizes that he can be a little more flexible and it won't be a world-ending thing.

I was in band for 6 years before my director figured out that I had perfe t pitch. He said I had little tick in my face that I would crinkle my nose when something was off key. It was involuntary and I didn't even know I was doing it.

This is definitely a popular episode. The "haircut records" bit does make me wonder how much Sheldon's mother had to help him adjust when he moved to California. Considering how much he hates change and how bare the apartment was when Leonard moved in, that must have been a lot (though he had already been to Germany, but it was never meant to be permanent). I say this as I contemplate my own struggles with moving and transitions in general, though thankfully I'm not as bad as Sheldon (I think). And Howard's "I ate a butterfly" is one of the most memorable moments of the show for me.

survival training for space - in case you don't come down in an area where rapid recovery is easy. There was at least one case of a Russian capsule landing in the wilderness and it was a couple of days before they got to them in blizzard conditions. eeeh gad, I had a housemate who got bongo's... ptsd!!!!! He was a physicist funnily enough. True to it's name.. The Vomit Comet!

When I first saw this, I took the time to convert 4.6 yoctometers per femtosecond into something more understandable. I believe it was 1.2 cm in 30 days.

"Yoctometers per femtosecond" is the most, pretentious, inefficient, useless and incomprehensible way of saying "nanometers per second". It's like measuring car speeds in "terameters per gigahour" rather than kmph.

when you are on the space station there is gravity - the reason you experience weightlessness is because the space station is in a state of free fall as it orbits the earth - same thing with simulation in the airplane when the plane goes down it is in a state of free fall and so you experience weightlessness - same as jumping off a building you experience weightlessness because you are in free fall - of course once you hit the ground you are no longer weightless lol

I dont think anyone dare tell Sheldon his mother lied to him. It's in nobody's favor to damage that relationship. Sheldon's Mom and Mema are law in his head. We have seen Sheldon forfeit his feud with Penny because his mom said so.

I'm going to be honest and say that the reason that the episode will work you really well is that I didn't focus on the problems that the show never really intends to solve. Raj griping about singlehood although it can be entertaining to see him dating but ultimately it's a tease. And how are Bernadette honestly make a really great couple as much as people complain about it. And not seeing Penny and Leonard b**** about their inability to stay a couple. I mean they brought it up once but since the show never really focused in on it in this episode it was fine.
