I do love the indoor/outdoor hybrid style that my greenhouse with supplemental lighting allows. Put them outside to flower; best of both worlds.

When you think about it the sun is apparently twice what plants need because you have to take into account penetration of canopy. Etc water depth absorbing for fish and pond plants forest penetration .

Can Dr.Coco tell us why Sour Diesel terpenes are crazy under an HPS but basically not even there under LEDs?

Factoring in damages and maintenance is important though, LEDs don't tent to fare well in countries with power fluctuations where HIDs inner arc tube might pop but its cheap to replace. MHs are the ultimate light for ePAR or PBAR and quality. LEDs only seem more efficient because we are only procucing light and calculating within the old standard PAR parameters. MHs seemed inefficient when we tested the old PAR range. Now that far red-IR and uv-b are considered part of the PAR range MHs start looking like incredible for efficiency, not just the well established quality from MH.
