When Stacey says it, everybody laughs, but philosophers have written books about the same conundrums. Also time is a social construct.

In a sense, but if humans didn't exist it's not like the natural world would stop aging, things would continue on without us.
@sanfran913 жыл бұрын
@@nicosmind3 'Time is a social construct' means the idea of time. Like, second, minutes, hours (those were calculated and named by humans) and the idea that it passes linearly.
@nicosmind33 жыл бұрын
@@sanfran91 yes that's what I meant by "in a sense", if you were to quantify time it can be quantified in different ways, and those ways are like a social construct (aliens, and animals can also quantify time, ie days and years) but time does exist outside of human experience and classification. To think of it as purely a social construction (as some idiots try and assert) is plain wrong
@sanfran913 жыл бұрын
@@nicosmind3 Oh my god but I WAS talking about strictly in that sense. Can a single comment capture EVERYTHING about time? No, of f*cking course not. Also: Humans happen to experience time linearly but there are theories that state that everything that has happened and will happen (per our experience) already has happened. Which would mean that the very idea that time indeed does pass linearly, with or without us, is a social human construct.

I feel like the lack of audience keeps them all in check, as well, and makes them less nervous/reserved. James is cute and charming. Also, most of them had alcohol and caffeine in that drink.
