Would someone please explain how France has a border with Brazil . French Guiana does not count , it is not France , it is French Guiana .If you want to include French overseas territories , say so in your question .

French Guiana is an overseas department of France on the northeast coast of South America, composed mainly of tropical rainforest. While Guyana and Suriname gained independence from their colonisers (the UK and the Netherlands respectively), French Guiana never has. It is classed as an overseas territory; its currency is the euro and its official language is French, although many also speak Creole.

It counts. It's a special case as it's an integral part of France (while french Polynesia for example is just an oversea territory, with a lot of autonomy). It's fully a region of France, just as Guadeloupe, Martinique or Reunion island are. In short they have the same status as Normandy. They didn't need to specify anything in the question (which would helped too much anyway).

@@BabyL3mur Yeah, but I live in Australia so it helps. We have close ties with New Guinea even helping with political administration until 1970s. The Kina was only introduced in 1975 when we left, before then the Australian dollar was the currency. New Guinea is geographically our closest neighbour. In all likelihood I would not have known about the Kina if I wasn’t from this part of the world:)

@2:45 One of the more challenging geography questions: Name a doubly landlocked country. Admittedly, I had to pause for that one, without cheating. Eastern Europe? One of the mid-Asian "stans"? Mid-northwest Africa? Clearly there are none in the Americas, and most of the small countries in Africa are coastal and bordered by very large countries with ocean coasts, and the big-three inlanders Mali, Niger, Chad touch other big coastal countries. In central Asia any countries which touch Russia, China, India, Iran or Pakistan are out. So it has to be Uzbekistan. And in Europe there are several landlocked countries, but most of them share a border with countries having sea coasts (North, Baltic, Mediterranean, Adriatic, etc.) So I remember driving across Switzerland to its eastern border with Austria and then almost by accident I'm in Liechtenstein, and 20 minutes later I'm in Austria. So I turned around and went back into Liechtenstein so I could stop and get out and pee on a tree, which in my book means I've "been there". So there are your two double land-locked countries. Uzbekistan and Liechtenstein. And apparently the Caspian and Black Seas don't qualify as real "Seas"???

@@kars1980 France - Spain border: 623km France - Brazil border: 730km If looking on a map the borders may appear to be much closer in length. This is due to the Brazil border being much closer to the equator and therefore the border with Spain appearing exaggerated (using the Mercator projection)
