Excellent comparison thank you, it’s always interesting to get a few little peeks behind the curtain at unfinished effects too. I was very surprised that the exit door wasn’t tricked in using some kind of greenscreen gag somehow. Regarding the added screen text, I don’t think flat LCD or OLED screens were commonly available at this point.

Bridge displays in ST:TNG were CRT screens with plexiglass over them.
