I think the biggest thing I've learned from this channel is just mindset. Thinking about possible scenarios, but also mindset behind what to put in what bags and such. Cutting down unneeded bulk, packaging, etc when making a medical, go bag, or even just edc.

Garage doors are for some reason are obnoxiously important. That and knots. Knots are super helpful and I couldn’t even nail them in scouts and still can’t and man is that embarrassing. But I’m learning for sure. So thank you! Thank you for your help!

I learned to bring extra socks even on day hikes and hunts. I think about ITS every time I change into clean, dry socks on the trail. I also implemented several of your SERE related lessons when I was flying in the military. Fortunately, I never needed my formal or informal SERE training! I have also been slowly building a vehicle recovery kit based on your video. To date, my record is 4 strangers vehicles recovered in a day during a snow storm. The first video video I ever watched was a video on rappelling, I can't even find the video any more. It was you in a pair of multicam cutoff BDU's in some climbing park that looked like a cool place. You said your climbing catch phrase "screw down so you don't screw up", I have never forgotten that. I've lived it and and shared it with other people. From your knots to your gear reviews I've always watched like a kid on Christmas. You even answered a question from me on your pod cast about combat pants. I have a bottle, land nav kit, and ranger beads. It helped me remember land nav from the marines. I don't watch you as much anymore because like you my attention has shifted elsewhere manly my home and family. My ears perk up when I see new video content. I first discovered ITS Tactical in 2010 while searching the internet for lock picking information. I soon found a DIY tutorial Bryan did for a lock pick practice station designed to hold two dead bolt locks. I made one and have used it ever since. I also recall enjoying an early review of the 215 Gear Custom Tactical Bag that Bryan did. I picked one up many years later on the secondhand market and love it. Over the years I have received many, "Boxes of Awesome" from ITS. Each time I look forward to getting my purchase and I have begun to share that excitement with my young sons who have become fans of the company. I found your channel when I was researching more info on the PCU system a few years ago. I got hooked on your weekly Gear Tasting videos. I’ve learned that I have a long lost brother from another mother that shares and even surpasses my love of gear and love and OCD of organization! Someone who starting as a kid and also shared a love of Desert Night Camo, to growing up and having a desire to serve our country. I figure around the same time you were getting pounded in the surf and sand at BUD/S in Coronado, I was up the bay from you living the life of luxury as a Puddle Pirate at the Coast Guard base in San Diego. Thank you for your service! I’ve learned that there exists an initial version of the block zero PCU level 7 jacket with the black patch of fabric on the shoulders that is more rare and harder to find than a rainbow unicorn horn. It has sent me on a multiple year mission to find it and add it to my PCU collection. (Mission complete! Found one 2 days ago and it’s in the mail!) I’ve learned that I am not alone in my love of MAS grey! I’ve learned that there’s not enough time in the day for me to try and pursue all the different topics, subjects ,and passions you have shared over the years on your channel that tickle my fancy. But most of all I have learned how to be more prepared overall to help protect me and my family. Which I thank you the most for! I have been following ITS since the beginning so kudos to staying the course and expanding from videos into a full-blown store as well. Much of what I have seen from ITS over the years is quite familiar to me being a now-retired Army SOF-support vet. ITS helps me to keep those skills alive and to refresh my memory from time to time. Now that I have transitioned to civilian life, a lot of your education has refocused my thoughts toward living in the civilian world with the mindset of preparedness from a civil standpoint. Keep up the great work with the videos and improving your products and finding the new stuff out there to help make us prepared citizens in our communities.

I've learned a lot from you guys over the years, from knots to gear selection. The biggest rabbit hole was lock picking. It started with your first video on Bogota picks and then I was hooked. I'm still no expert but I can get past most locks and single pick 4 pin tumblers reliably. It has come in handy, i have been able to help my neighbors a couple of times who were locked out. Thanks for all the knowledge and tips.

I have learned about thinking of the big picture. Gear is great, but the way you have shown us the how and why is more than most companies are giving us. Whether I win or not, just wanted to say thank you. I have increased security in my own, taken it upon myself to learn the medical side of the house. Oh geez, where do I begin? I've implemented many nuggets of ITS Tactical information from ham radios, to my vehicle's get home bag, to even the material of my socks and underwear but the one favorite thing I learned from the channel was mentioned in passing and not the main topic of the video. During the demonstration of the Armor Concepts door armor you were utilizing an abandoned house to show the effectiveness of the product. The house was run down but you gave kudos to the garage door peep hole which stuck with me. When I bought my first home I installed peep holes on my garage entry door and side door. You never know what weird things can occur on the other side of a door and getting the first look at the situation can provide valuable information on what do do next.

I've been watching ITS for nearly 11 years not quite I found the channel when I was still in the Corps so about 9 or 10 years ago now. Love the channel, love the products. I would say knot of the week has been among my favorites learning all the knots and their uses. My EDC now boasts a field notebook and pen. I back into everywhere now (secret service never backs out of a parking spot) and I’ve learned countless knots. Just a few things I use daily that y’all taught me. Keep it up and God Bless Texas!

I learned a lot about EDC and preparedness that paid off pretty big. I was at the state fair and the front tire of my wheelchair came off. With the help of some kind strangers at a blacksmithing exhibit and a tool kit I put together we where able to repair the wheel. Without that tool kit (and the kind strangers) I would have been completely stranded with no way to return to my car on the opposite end of the fair ground with out calling authority's or EMS and no way to then get into my home from the car on account of the broken wheelchair. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and helping us be more responsible.

Congratulations to 300k subs... Even thou one of my hobbies is sailing and therefore I have to know my knots I really enjoyed your knots videos. Tarp-knots are great and I use them during my outdoor trips quite often. Another one is flat-folding SOFTTs - I am showing it on every first aid course I am teaching (with appropriate ITS shoutout ;) ) Home security and vehicle equipment videos are interesting too. More so to see the contrast to the stuff we have here in the Czech rep., Europe (eg. the door frame is pretty much always made out of metal, mandatory vehicle equipment, etc...). Keep up the good work and I am looking forward to new podcast - both gear tasting and ridiculous dialogues.

Even though living in an apartment excludes me from some of the lessons, however it has pointed me in a great direction to have a more active thought process on how I conduct myself not just around my own home, but when work often requires me to travel.

Well my first purchase from ITS was the black crew cover, and that's where my admiration for your company began. I wore that hat for a few years before I lost it when I moved to my new house. I'm a weekly if not daily visitor to the site/store where I frequently browse the topic section (fitcom, digicom, medcom) as well as this KZbin channel. I have truly learned a lot from your company, the most useful being lock picking (even though I don't always have my picks when I lock myself out of my house), medical skills/gear, and securing my new home and information online. Most importantly I have learned how to be organized. Your pouches have been extremely helpful and I use them every day. As a teacher and football coach, I carry an ITS medical pouch with a boo boo kit and another ITS pouch with my charging/transfer cables for virtual learning. I have a third pouch that I use to carry a plethora of football tools and equipment that has been a life-saver on the sidelines. I really appreciate all that you guys do at ITS Tactical. I really enjoy all the videos because you're "real". Not overly tactical in all things like many channels are, just solid information, and real life applications. I'm almost embarrassed to say that the most helpful videos for me had nothing to do with anything tactical. I ignored them at the time, but have recently gone back and gotten really interested in your organization systems and productivity videos. "Capture Your World" and "Gear for Productivity" are a couple examples. I'm not organized by nature, but have found things like Evernote that can help me, as well as book recommendations like "Getting Things Done". More than just productivity and organization, I appreciate the way you discuss the philosophy behind the gear in our everyday lives rather than simply specs and costs. Keep up the great work your doing and congrats on this latest accomplishment!

I've learned a lot. The knot making videos! Those are my favorite. But the video I've actually shared the most is the small talk video. Fairly recent. It's definitely an eye opener. Car preparedness videos are a close second. Greatest thing I've taken away from your channel is to keep my head on a swivel but keep it light. Security and awareness are important. New gear is fun. And skills and knowledge are your greatest tools.

I learned how to make lots of knots, the one I use the most is the noose. I make a ton of Halloween decorations and needed to learn how to make one and now I've hung several fake zombies and skeletons. They deserved it for being so evil! I discovered ITS back when the Bogota tools were first released (which I still carry to this day) and it got me heavy into LockSport! It made me challenge myself in tackling more difficult locks and, as a result, over the years I have been able to help family (and only family!) on 2 different occasions get back into vehicles after locking their keys inside. I have also had a mindset shift and have made a large push to be more prepared medically, in equipment and skills, for a number of disasters. I still have a ways to go but I really feel like I'm getting some of the best gear and information out there by learning from you guys. Thanks for helping me be the best that I can.

Its incredible to see ITS reach this well deserved milestone. Great job and continue the good work y’all! I remember back when I first started following you guys and began taking skill set training seriously. I have learned lock-picking, got involved with medical response and training and owe a bit of my interest and involvement in Search and Rescue to you guys. But for me, the most important lesson I have learned, the biggest takeaway out of all the articles and videos (btw, miss those ITS Life Company vlogs) is learning to have the mindset of what I call a Prevailer. I know that seems trivial, like yeah all these skills you guys teach set you up to prevail against everyday threats and disasters but its become more than that for me. Not only do I feel like I can help someone in need whether its a broken leg or a paper cut, to getting my family out of the house if we need to bail, or just running a security assessment on mine or a friends property. I not only feel like I can impact my life and others positively but now I have the confidence to do all these things, do them right and truly know that no matter the adversary, I will prevail. (And knowing is half the battle) So thank you for teaching me how to pick locks, stop heavy bleedings, navigate the back country and most importantly, thank you for showing me what it means to prevail against all threats. (That and remember to tuck your pants into your socks if you William Shatner’d in em and always follow ‘some’ roads so not as to get your jeep stuck in the mud)

I’m fairly certain I haven’t been watching for 11 years but pretty close to 10. As the time has gone on, your videos have provided some fantastic information for my career. As a veteran, former contractor and now an EMT and LEO, there have been some great insights. From the old knot of the week videos to EDC concepts and gear reviews, I have picked up many skills from Mr. Black and crew. Lock picking was way more useful than I’d like to admit. The first video i ever saw was the one about how to make a fast rope. I tried and tried to get it right but never could. I have been a fan ever since, watch every video and listen to every podcast. I pay special attention to the medical videos because as a practicing paramedic I like to see what people are teaching. Love the content cheers on 300k.

Thank you for such great products! I use ITS zip bags for EVERYTHING! It allows for quick and easy access for any sort of gear. I probably have 15 zip bags labeled with name tapes for storing gear in my truck. You inspired us to start carrying med kits in each of our vehicles and backpacks.

By far though, and what originally brought me to your channel, were the Knot of the Week videos. I believe I have watched all of them numerous times, from back in the day to the new HD remakes. I have even compiled my own Knot playlist which have many of your videos for the knots I use most frequently. I have watched many knot tying videos and have time say that yours are among the very best. Also the ones I would recommend before any others. Most likely has to do with how you filmed them. There is a clarity & repeatability that for me I find easy & enjoyable. Heck, I'm still trying to find ways for employing the Poldo Tackle, like for an adjustable pot hanger or a campfire... Hey long time fan, love your vids, love your patch collections and the gear you guys put out. Admittedly I’ve fallen off your guys channel a little bit, still subbed but I’m behind on content. I’ve learned a lot over the years from the content you guys deliver, knots from your knot of the week series, how to escape zip ties and duct tape, your lock picking stuff but one of my favorite series and I continually go back to just for reference is your diy AR build, you give a parts list, what to look for and what tools you need, the do’s and dont’s it’s broken up into several vids so it’s easy to reference. That’s the video series I used to build my first AR and it turned out great. So thanks and keep up the good work.

I would guess that I have been subbed to your channel for about eight years. The one thing I learned from your channel was the video about how to prevent a garage door from being opened with a coat hanger. That was back when you sold the ties to prevent the manual override from being activated. Something nobody thinks about with such a simple fix. There were other videos that I have learned tips from but this one stands out as I have told over a half dozen people about it. You should make the red ties again. Keep up the great content.

Knot videos were of course the main ones. But the ones where you showed things like how to make a rope ladder or lashings were great. I remember a looong time ago you did some videos where you wore a shirt for a few days and had your wife smell you. That was great!

I love the gear reviews in Gear Tasting Radio but learned the most from episode 76 - Top 10 Skill-Sets for the Modern Man. I have that video saved to a “Keep Forever” playlist so I can periodically reference it and do a self-check.

I found the channel because I wanted a refresher on knots. Not only (or knot only...) did I re-learn some old ones but I learned new ones and new ways to work with rope in general. I stumbled across the video discussing the proper way to tie boots, which progressed into clicking on multiple other videos, later subscribing, and trying to learn lock picking by purchasing the ITS SPI kit. Great content!

I have first aid kits everywhere, mastered a bunch of knots, can pick locks, escape zip ties, etc. Lots of little things here and there, but all useful.

I've learned a lot over the years, from knots to coffee my coffee addicted friends could try, to precision rifle shooting that I've just started to get into. Your morale patches are amazing and the blooper reels always give me a laugh.

I've truly learned a lot: I now have perimeter alarms around my yard, better locks on my windows and doors. But the video that really caught me off guard, and startled me, was about the escape/evade lock and handcuff kit. I live in a very dangerous city (the second deadliest according to the FBI). I also happen to live with a large forest behind my house, and that video in particular made me realize how easy it would be for someone to cuff me at gunpoint, and march me into the woods for monetary gain. The police don't patrol the forest, and someone could easily build a fort and hold me hostage. Many people have been murdered in this forest, and the reason that I know so much about the forest is because of this channel, I thank you for that. I don't deserve to win this contest, I only discovered your channel about eight or nine months ago: other people have followed for years, and one of those loyal fans deserves to win. I only wanted to congratulate you, and thank you for the time and effort you have put into the videos that I have seen, and share just a few of the areas that you have helped me grow! I think ITS was the driving factor in me getting into lock picking. Always loved knot of the week segments also taught me quite a few knots.

This is an easy choice for me, the climbing math video with your demonstration as well as the death triangle. This really encouraged me into selection, choice, and use of equipment. The math as well as your sharing of safety has driven me to always evaluate my rigging and motivated me to learn more about equipment features and to also share that information with others. I really think this knowledge takes the climbing/rappelling experience and brings it up multiple levels enabling individuals to realize that rappelling is more that just strapping on a harness and sliding down a rope. All gear has ratings and requirements and inherent safety limits and concerns and requires careful thought and evaluation. Thank you!

Looking back through your videos i remember watching Tough Hook on 8/27/13. I'm not sure if it's the first video I've seen of yours but i have definitely been a subscriber since then. I ended up purchasing two of them after watching your review. I have one at home for my plate carrier and one at work for my police duty vest. Great product Highly recommend. The amount of knowledge I've learned from this channel is crazy I built my first AR with the instruction of this channel I've learned how to pick locks from this channel I've learned the importance of medical gear and home security this is one of my favorite channels on KZbin and hope you get back to rolling out more videos because I'm ready to learn more thank you Bryan for your wealth of knowledge and wanting to share it with like minded people

I think the biggest and most important thing I have learned is the importance of skill set/mind set over having the "cool" gear. You also introduced me the the GTD method and that has been one of the biggest life changing things I have learned I don't think I would be where I am at now with out it. I recently got my EMT certification and the info that you gave to me about the importance of having medical gear and training helped me want to do it. I have in the past and I'm currently going through some medical problems but having the right mind set has made them easier. I always enjoy reading your artical and watching your videos they alway introduce me to a new skill to learn or piece of gear I haven't heard of. keep up the good work. And thanks for everything you and your team does.

While E&E skills and Medical supplies are very important (and I am glad I have them) I hope I never have to use them. What I really appreciate is the knot of the week and other paracord projects. It's something that takes practice, is quiet, and much safer than other hobbies if left out. My family ends up using paracord all the time, we keep it in each vehicle, diaper bags, emergency kits, junk drawer in the kitchen, everywhere. Your videos help me use the correct knot for every situation Me, my wife, and our two young sons thank you.

I have learned a lot from you guys over the years. I think the knowledge I have used the most is all of the medical knowledge you guys put out. I now have trauma kits in both my wife's car and mine, my edc backpack and at home so no matter where I am I know I have the tools to safe my life or the life of someone else.

What I've enjoyed and learned the most from your videos is the knot making. I'm almost totally blind now, so I basically just listen to what you're saying. When I still had enough vision to see videos I found that your videos were the best/easiest to learn from because you used rope the make it easier to see, and there's enough contrast for me to see which side the working end goes. Plus, instead of just making the knot, you verbally explained what it was you were doing. Thank you for the informative videos, not just the "Knot of the Week" ones.
