We've cooked on the Weber Kettle in numerous videos, but here we're finally giving it an in-depth review. We're talking about the features, functions, and pros/cons of this ubiquitous little grill.
We're also going to go over a few modifications we've made over the years, including the Slow 'N Sear and grate replacement.
And just for good measure, we're cooking up some pulled pork!

there are no rulls in grilling!!! Just an endless opportunity to cook what ever and how ever you feel like!!! Or search youtube and copy others. It is supose to be fun and creative. I enjoyed the webber kettle video! I use a kettle grill to bbq almost completely. I have the masterbuilt kettle which is not any longer made, when it falls apart i guess I'll be getting a weber. I love kettle grills!!! Have you ever heard of a patio classic oval grill i had one many years ago and it was my all time favorite. Its the same as a kettle, only oval, ovcorse it is no longer made either.

I've not heard of that one. I can't recall ever having seen an oval grill, though I could see some benefit from it as far as cook surface is concerned. And yes, as I'd mentioned, if you only want one grill/smoker, then the Weber Kettle is probably the best option.

It took awhile to get here, but we've finally done a proper review. If I could only purchase one smoker, I'd buy a kettle grill (or similar large surface grill). Why? You can grill, sear, smoke, barbecue: in short, it's a great multitasker. Also a perfect companion for speed-knitting match day!

That is not how to use the slow n sear ...I agree, if I had only one grip, it would be a weber kettle

Hello! I'm not sure I follow. I've had excellent experience using it like this. About the same results as building the fire in the SnS versus using a chimney and setting wood afterwards. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Also, to clarify, I'd initially purchased it as just a simple divider between sides of the grill, as I already had numerous smokers. Started using this to smoke a couple of years ago. While it works for me the way I'm doing it, I'm trying to determine whether there are better results to be had via a different method.

You will get a lot more cook time with the slow n sear by lightning one side of the coals and letting the coals burn across

Ah, okay. Yes, you are correct. I added the coals like I did so I could cook at a higher temperature. Then I feed it over time. More wasteful on fuel, for sure, but more expedient.

Hey, I plan on using a Weber Kettle in a public park for a BBQ and I want to know what is your advice for removing the coal and safely packing the grill back into my car (sedan) ?

While I'm sorry I didn't get to this comment earlier, generally whilst catering if I have to clear out quick, the only safe way to do it is to load up the coals/wood in a metal container and then douse it like crazy with water. Have to make sure to empty it out pretty quickly after returning home, as it can be corrosive. That said, usually just wait for everything to suitably cool down, if possible.

Understandable. It's a little late in the season anyway. :)

Do you think a flux capacitor could be retrofitted (or invented in the past) to fuel your Weber? (Asking for a friend)
