Interesting fact according to Jack Ewins the raptor that fought Rexy and was the leader in the kitchen that was Kim while Big One was the first die to Rexy I think people were confused on identity of Big One since all raptors looked the same

From what I've read and what I think makes most sense is that the order of raptor deaths in JP1 was The Big One, Kim, then Randy. The Big One was the one who killed Ray Arnold and scared Sattler in the power control room and then she was lock in that room, while that was happening Randy and Kim attacked the kids, we know it was Randy who was locked in the freezer because if you track the raptor that asserts it's dominance it gets locked in the freezer and never gets out and it couldn't have been the big one since she fights rexy so it had to be the beta which was Randy. Kim is the one who follows them to the control room and jumps through the glass. By the time they get to the main section of the visitors center The Big One figured out how to open the doors to the maintenance shed. She then gets chomped on by Rexy and Kim, trying to avenge her leader, is also killed. Randy dies last because she had food and water in the freezer but only a limited supply. The only reason I dislike this is because it would make Randy the one Muldoon complements by calling her "Clever Girl."

the "holding pen" is the actual cage for them, it was connected to the display area like how we do normal zoos, but is done so with underground passages, the area showed in the movie is the feeding area behind the scenes from what the guests would normally get to see. this has been the case in most mediums tho never said or seen on screen so canon it might not be haha

Taking the young humans hostage would have been the better option for these velociraptors to achieve whatever goal they had. "Captivity" they already knew. Restraining aggression would have been the key as well as establishing communication. Hopefully in the future we will see "wiser" velociraptors perhaps capable even of "farming" human prey.

The big one didn't enter the kitchen, Kim did. We know this because the one that opened the door got locked in freezer, the other one (big one) ran into the reflection and was later killed by rexy. She then was seen near the skeletons and jumped on the skeletons to get the humans and then this is when she's killed. She's grabbed by rexy seconds before killing the humans.

She would have been the one that was caught in mid-air by the trex first. Because when she first comes in and gives that goofy smile of hers it's underneath the construction sheet. Which is the same one that the T-Rex comes in at. So she's the one that had her back to the construction whole as she came in which is exactly where the T-Rex came in so she had to be the one that was caught in midair first. And saying that she's the one at the beginning of the movie makes no sense. I mean I know that's what it looks like they're going for because of the smile and Muldoon's relationship with her but you hear gunshots in the background, not the electric tasers but when he says shoot her you hear gunshots after gunshot of a gunshot and then a raptor snarl so doesn't really follow that the raptor the beginning survived despite the fact that they made it look like the big one.

The one locked in the freezer never escaped and either died because the power turned on and they froze to death or they ran out of food in the freezer sadly. That is why we never see the baby raptors because they died without parental care. And the other raptors transported to isla nublar were killed by the big one in a battle for dominance with the other two siding with her and becoming her subordinates.

"The Big One" opened the kitchen door, calls the 2nd raptor. 2nd Raptor jumps on table, Big One runs into her own reflection. 2nd Raptor gets trapped in freezer, Big One chases Grant, Ellie & Kids. She jumps on skeleton, 3rd Raptor (from maintenance shed) arrives and evaluates the situation, Big One hops off skeleton, Rexy kills 3rd Raptor, Big One attacks Rexy and gets smoked...The End.

Im pretty sure Alpha is the one that pops out the bushes all up in Muldoons face & using the other raptor as her decoy before she kills Muldoon & shes definitely the one thats menacingly grinning 😁 😈 at Dr. Grant through the door window while hes yelling at Elle about the door not locking before she tries to open it & kill all four of them!!! The word is not "attack". The word is "defend". This Raptor was dragged out of her natural environment to be transported to a prison ward, much like one used for isolating truly bad human criminals. Heaven only knows how they captured her in the first place before stuffing her into a small crate. I have theories that range from luring her with bait to physically abusing her and tormenting her. Regardless, this animal was scared, confused, and disoriented from the experience. She did the only thing any animal would do in that very tense situation. She defended herself. It's not her fault that Jophery was in the wrong place at the wrong time, resulting in his death. My point is that the Raptors were no more "dangerous" than any other animal. The problem is that they were mishandled and mistreated, resulting in them turning much more aggressive than they would have been if they had been left alone. I hate to have to keep repeating myself, but people continue to think of the Raptors in the way that I once did before I educated myself about them. They are not "scary monsters". They aren't "vicious killers". They are misunderstood animals living in a world they are unfamiliar with. Imagine if we humans were put in an unfamiliar world with strange creatures trying to capture us and put us in prison cages. Should we just let them do that to us? Or, should we defend ourselves and try to resist? I swear, I'm getting tired of videos that demonize the Raptors. Would it kill you to make a positive video about the Raptors? I would make one myself if I could, but I don't have a way to do that. So, all I can do is vent in the comment section of these types of videos. That would be really cool but sadly it isn't possible because all of the adult raptors died and wouldn't have been able to take care of the babies. Also Blue is not that old

big one is the raptor that killed Muldoon the one that Muldoon was about to shoot was randy and the raptor that was in the maintenance shed was Kim the big one opened the door and snapped at randy to established dominance the big one charged at lex reflection and gets knocked unconscious randy follows Tim and gets stuck in the freezer the big one wakes up and follows the kids the kids catch up to Alan and Ellie and they go to control room where lex was able to get the power running the big one stalks them to the visitor center the big one crashes onto the sauropod skeleton to pounce on the crew they all fall down then Kim was revealed to manage to get out of the maintenance shed and followed the big-one the big one and Kim corners the people when Kim was about to pounce the T. rex killed her by clamping on her body with jaws the big one enraged pounce on rexy as the people fled outside the two Dino’s fought for a little while until rexy shocked the big one off and bit her on the body crushing her bones and organs and finally throwing her on the T. rex skeleton the big one died on impact

For those who believe that the nest Grant and the kids found was for the raptors, I am here to say that it is not. The three found the nest before Ray Arnold shut down the rest of the power, which freed the raptors. It's most likely that it belonged to a gallimimus since they likely were in their area at the time.

Look, I know i'm late, but I have to clarify this; THERE IS NO "RANDY" AND "KIM"!!! Those were just the names of the two animators who worked on the kitchen scene. So Randy and Kim are not a duo, because they don't exist. (Also, The Big one wasn't in the shed, they were the one that lured Muldoon into being ambushed).

All the things u are saying are completely based off of a fans perspective!!!! You're imagination & partial material researched honestly can't prove anything mainly due to the film being rushed & on a huge buget & time limit not to mention tons of scenes were cut & edited to fit into the movie the way they were just for those particular reasons alone so as a fan it might be simple for u to add in things such as speaking about her pack mentality but only for your own personal benefit & personal understanding of what cant be told because it was never told to us!!! There is no official way to prove anything about the big one!!!! For all we know, the big one might not even be shown at all in the film!!!! Muldoon could have just called her the big one because shes just the Alpha & didn't literally mean she was bigger than the others or.... for all we know he could have been talking about a completely different Raptor completely that looked alike but actually was a bit bigger & have different physical attributes that we never even got to see shown in the actual film !!!! Or maybe he knows of 3 raptors alive but whos to say he knew that for sure that was even actually true since its not ever shown or proven by anyone??? How do we know that the big one actually didn't kill one of those other 5 raptors & he mis counted & left one alive??? How do we know there wasn't actually 4 of them??? How do we know that Robert Muldoons dialogue in the film wasn't just rushed & they just chose to change the number from 4 raptors to 3 in the final script instead because of the film production being so rushed???? How do we know that she didn't just kill one of her two comrades & we only just saw her one comrade in the film & one helped the other out of the freezer door considering how intelligent they are??? Honestly this topic can really just be whatever u want it to actually be & unless another JP project is made to explain it all , your word & you're idea hypothesis on this topic is equally valid just as anyone else's is tbh!!!! The original film obviously had untied strings which isn't anyones actual fualt & Spielberg isn't the type of person to just leave something such as this question to be fully unanswered unless he ultimately had to but he is still smart enough to find a easy way to brush it aside in order to still make up for the films mistakes without anyone else really noticing it & besides , the public in real life didn't even know what a Velociraptor even was till this book & the film was made unless u were actually a huge dinosaur nerd back then & when u actually think about all this & put yourself into the shoes of everyone that made this film , neither Spielberg or anyone else would ever expect there to be ppl like us in the future today with KZbin & internet to be even thinking about a topic such as this , especially back then in 1992 👍
