I vividly recall Dan's criticism of Kobe the Dwight year because the team wasn't doing anything till the ASB (even with 12 players either coming in hurt or getting injured during the season). While they were on this run, Dan had nothing to say of the Lakers or Kobe till his Achilles tear. Decade later, LeBron can't carry his team to the playoffs with Hof players and the rhetoric is " appreciate greatness while it's happening and scoring title" 😭😭

🤦🏿‍♂️ LeBron's Lakers stint has not been an "unmitigated success" Mike Ryan. The Lakers have won 1 "Bubble championship" since LeBron has been there and they won that chip during the strangest NBA season in history where there was a worldwide virus outbreak and it just so happened to be the same year that the greatest Laker of all time died tragically in a helicopter crash 🤔. Every other normal season that LeBron has been on the Lakers they have either missed the playoffs or got bounced in the first round. That is a huge contrast to when he was in the Leastern conference and all he had to do was assemble a superteam every year to guarantee himself a trip to the finals
