my parents used to attend numbers 4 nights a week back in the 80’s and 90’s. no matter where they were in the club, when this song came on, they always met in the middle of the dance floor. my dad passed away in 2014 and my mom handed down all of their records to me and she gave me this single on vinyl. I now go to numbers every Friday night and dance my heart out. I’ve become close with the staff and DJ and I am so amazed when this song is played that all I can do is smile and realize I’m dancing on the same tiles that my parents did back then. infinite love for this song.. and especially numbers forever ❤️

Yo'... I remember when this song actually came out. I was born in Houston and started going to Numbers around 1985-2001 and Wes gave me a copy of this vinyl I believe around 89. But before that I would go nuts when this song came out and I too would be on the floor dancing like a spastic ( as we did in the 80's ) and lip syncing the words too....LOL. I live in Dallas now and hear it from time to time at Lizard Lounge on Sunday's which is called ( The Church ) because it's industrial, goth, retro night.

Back in 1988-89 I was in High School in Michigan. I visited a relative in Texas. He took me to a club somewhere near Houston and I remember dancing to this song. I take it from reading other comments, the club was probably Numbers. The club was great. I remember hearing Xymox, Sisters Of Mercy, New Order etc.. When I got back to Michigan, I couldn't find this song anywhere. I kept looking for years and then gave up. Then 30 years later it shows up on KZbin!

Every time I hear this song, it reminds me of dancing with my wife Denise at Numbers Night Club in Houston every single time it was played. That was back in the 80s. She passed away in 2017. When I hear this meaningful song that she loved, in my mind, I can see her dancing, smiling, and having fun being her girly self.

The reason there are so many comments from people in Houston, TX is because Eric Chase aka 'Paul Christy' loved this song & proudly played it for his Top40 radio audience when he was Program Director at KRBE 'POWER 104' Houston! It became so popular on KRBE, so then the local Danceclubs & rival 93Q KKBQ started playing it, but it was Paul Christy who is the reason most of you reading this ever knew about this song, which I don't believe was ever a hit anywhere else -- not even in The Big Supreme's native UK! I'm from Detroit, Michigan, and nobody there or anywhere else in the US ever heard this song -- it was uniquely popular in Houston! I see from some of your posts, CFNY 102.1 Toronto also played it, so kudos to them, and maybe this is one more reason Houston & Toronto are my two favourite cities!

Paragon....Club Splash ( westhiemer and dairy ashford ).....briefly played at Power Tools ( downtown ) Club DV8 ( richmond ave and 610 ).... Sharkdance.......#Numbers.... I remember this song from Numbers also! This has been a favorite of mine ever since. It was also played at J. Larkins on Nasa Rd. 1. I would sit with my friends on the speakers to really feel the big sound. My children actually like this song. It is one of the only songs I have passed down that they don't call Boomer Music!

I bought this LP at Record Town the first weekend I heard it at #s in Houston. I was the only person I knew who liked it. I remember some time later the first edition was going for $75 and I had one. I opted to hold onto it instead of selling it. Now I have no idea where it is or how I lost it. Oh well.

Crikey....Music Box!! That's a blast from the past. Used to be glued to it back in the day. Sunie, Simon Potter, Gaz Top, Martin Collins, Amanda Reddington, some Dutch bloke whose name I forget, Pat Sharp.......all had shows on Music Box. They used to play this one a lot, didn't they?
