Great show of vehicles! I am surprised that none are sporting larger diameter tires. Without that (and perhaps offset Unimog axles), the differential, locating arms, and tubular chassis are all being dragged through the mud WAY before the body is. Were there rules which limited tire size?

While there are competitive events, this is about having fun. The larger the tires, the less wheel speed you will have. In thick drier mud like this, wheel speed and deep tread is key (hence so many tractor tires). Now if they were in a soupy marshy type bog, larger bogger/flotation tires might work better in terms of not getting stuck.

My boyfriend does this professionally and I've been to many thats way better then this one. So the statement made in the description is false. Best ones I've been to are in Alaska, Tennessee, Virginia and best absolute best is in Kentucky. The course there is a really challenging course and it gives the crowd more of a show. No the baddest bog is in Kentucky. Around the Daniel Boone National Forest and a small town called Monticello. THATS the real baddest in the country. This one was kinda boring actually. Very boring course is what I mean. Truth be told now that I think about it this isnt even in the top 5. Not trying to be an ass just stating facts. You may not have heard of the one in the southern part of KY because not just anybody can enter the event. Only top names get invited. So you get the best vehicles in the sport there. As far as I'm concerned Kentucky is home to the best mud bog event. Id go all the time if I didnt live 900 miles away...lol.
