I would've fought you for #1 some of those weeks for sure in the last 5 yrs. I literally stopped buying hobby boxes after 2022 and stick to cheap retail for fun. I stopped buying ANYTHING online except from Topps or Panini direct because I have NEVER pulled anything good from dozens of boxes from Dave & As and "Steal" City. I’ve been saying “Kerry wood and mark prior” for months. Best case how do Skenes prices go up? He absolutely dominates on this level for 10 years bringing his teams to the championship multiple times? And how does his rookie superfractor fall to three digits? Oh let me count the ways. I’ll bet it’s more likely he has a Tommy John in the next four years than not, and a middling season a year later. I Wander…. I watched the video of a guy pulling the Skenes flagship platinum 1/1 and someone told him in comments to sock it away for 20 years. That’s literally the worst thing you could advise. Let some millionaire absorb the deflation.

Interesting only to me that all the top cards are sent to or opened by live breakers with lots of viewers or a heavy social media presence. Zero video of a regular card collector getting a big hit. I spend about $5K a year on cards and have never once hit a 1/1.

@@chasejackson7248 Yes. However, this is not regulated. My hunch is Topps ships cases with rarer cards out to those with a platform. Hyper targeted audience. Exciting content. Good for sales. Even the most popular rippers aren't purchasing 3000 cases of cards my friend. Not possible to prove, so I just look at the content available, and whose selling the rare cards on selling platforms... and my experience as a guy who buys many cases of cards each season. I find it all a bit odd.
