The biggest disaster for Hearts of Iron 4 has happened, the first ever IRL tournament was cancelled meaning there's no HOI4 World Cup 2024.
This is a sad day for HOI4 because the biggest HOI4 tournament was cancelled, the one and only where there would be a live audience.

So the HOI4 World Cup 2024 was cancelled, but these are the qualifiers that were done before it was cancelled. Sadly Speed5 had to cancel it because the arena they were going to use was closed and then stuff fell apart it seems. Anyways these are the qualifiers for one of the greatest tournaments that could have been, especially since it was IRL :(

This is such a joke, Paradox has been trying for *YEARS* to make this game some sort of MLG game, but that is never going to happen! The best thing for Hoi4 is Tommy's Championship and Paradox should have worked with Tommy to host this game in Sweden.

Damn, what a shame it was cancelled. I'm a Swede myself, and I'd been planning to get a ticket and take a 9 hour bus-ride down south to Stockholm to watch this. It is what it is, there's not much to be done. Maybe we'll have better luck next year. Love from the middle of bumfuck nowhere in the northern land of meatballs, instructionless furniture kits and snow til' the end of March. You're one of the main reasons I got into HOI4 in the first place, and for that I've got to thank you Tommy.

Just finish the tournament online, the funds were there and so were the players, whether its a live event at an arena or not didnt make any difference on the game outcomes... I understand some people were excited to there in person but it is what it is and at the very least we shouldve had the tournament go on, absolutely no reason to cancel the whole event for that
