I therefore adhere to the principle of which cultural character a state belongs to. This is essentially determined by where the centre of population is located. It's not exactly representative. It shows GDP at face value (national currency to euro), but not Purchasing Power Parity (PPP). If Russia had a GDP like Spain or Italy, with the number of sanctions, it would have gone bankrupt. But this does not happen, because according to Purchasing Power Parity, its economy (including the industrial sector) is larger than in Germany. Let the Europeans indulge their self-esteem further.

Technically they are bankrupt, just they'll never admit it. They can't trade USD and EUR. They have issues with payments even with China. Their state obligations have highest interest rate ever. Basic interest rate is around 16% and is expected to be raised to 18% soon. This "purchasing power" is just another propagandists' tool tha theu use to fool those who don't pay attention and who believe in ruzzia's lies about how great they are doing. Their infrastructure is made of sticks and ropes, their roads are muddy and full of holes, there are buildings falling apart in their cities because of lack of maintenance, their pipes with sewage and hot water are exploding every month or so. But we are supposed to believe that this country compares somehow to Germany or even to Poland... Yeah, right... 😂 Numbers can lie when used by people who want to lie.

Of the 3 PPP rankings with different methologies (IMF 2024, World Bank 2023, CIA 2020) listed on Wikipedia, there is only ONE where they surpass Germany and Japan (that is World Bank 2023). Russian economy is doomed, as @marcin pointed out right here already. Most things they produce nowdays, they intend to destroy those quite immediately 💥 right after their production is finished. That stupid war-time economy is funded by their huge stockpile of reserves, but it's going down, Russia will be finished up probably around the end of 2025, maybe 2026. The reserves are constantly shrinking billions of dollars (yes, that's in dollars, not rubles!) every single month, while Ukrainians attack Oil-Facilities sucessfully, speeding up the process.
