The question for me should be what kinds of cheese do you not like, lol. Which would be Casu Marzu. I wouldn’t even try it. But I LOVE all the rest, I can’t pick just one. 😊

I don't care what Italians say. Garlicky, Buttery Shrimp Scampi with a nice layer of aged pecorino romano is one of my go-to seafood dishes. It's ludicrously easy to make and only takes a half hour in the oven. I've been known to devour them by the baking dish-full... :3

Great! Just bought some pre shredded cheese 🧀 from the supermarket, and was literally debating in my mind if it’s worth it or should I get a block instead 🙄

I bought a veggie and shredder from either qvc or hsn and it takes all the hard work out of grating cheese. You feed it in and turn a handle. Chops up a whole block in less than a minute easily. The food tastes better also

At Market Basket, a regional supermarket chain in New England, the deli clerk told me that their sliced American Cheese was produced by Cabot. Yes, it's real, and the best cheese I've ever used for grilled cheese and cheeseburgers. Just perfect!

An eight oz block will yield more volume than an eight oz bag of shredded cheese? I realize the block is usually cheaper but how are they two different amounts? They're both 8 oz!
@charlesmills6621
@charlesmills6621 3 жыл бұрын
More volume, not more weight. An 8 oz. bag may be 40 cubic inches, but an 8 oz. block, freshly shredded, may yield more than 40 cubic inches of cheese.
@andrewyates5548
@andrewyates5548 3 жыл бұрын
@@charlesmills6621 Yes I know what volume means but if they both weigh the same it doesn't matter if one is a greater volume. That just means it's more fluffy, it doesn't mean you have more 🧀. 🤣

This is exactly what prices are based on, what’s in the product, then, to how it’s made and how easy and ready available are those products to make the product your buying.Then, what it takes to make that product and, what all does it involve. Then, there’s where does that product come from, if it’s made in the US it will be a bit cheaper, if it’s imported from another country it will cost you more. Then, here’s the other thing the block of cheese is going to cost you less because, not much had to be done to it, you get to choose. The reason pre-shredded cheese will cost you more because, someone done something to convenience you, therefore more hands had to touch it, therefore, that’s another person’s hands that had to touch it to make that convenience you. Then, it’s like what is the product if it’s like the king of the product of where it comes from and, it’s the finest product from that country it’s going to cost you more and, then, on top of it, it’s in.what measure do the charge by. The more ready available a product like you buy here in the US will be cheaper but, you pay for quality and, quantity and, all these things compound together. The best way to explain it in simple terms is like this, a whole fully dressed chicken will be much cheaper than cut-up chicken parts because, someone had to be hired to cut- up those parts and, for cutting up those parts the company has to pay them. All that is totaled in for the price you pay, each portion you pay a percentage of the price is split up to all those portions. I was taught this from a early age. I don’t think many parents teach there kids this much anymore or learn this in school. I like cooking and baking from a young age and, that’s why, I was taught this as soon as, I was able to understand it.

Kraft pre-grated “Parmesan” cheese is very little like real Parmesan but isn’t too bad in its own way. Box graters are hellish to use. Unfortunately, a genuine extra-coarse Microplane grater is expensive, and the fakes aren’t usually much better than box graters.

2:00 - I think what you're forgetting is about people's capabilities. Pre shredded may be annoying to you, yes. However a lot of other people don't have much choice and can't put in the time/ effort/ energy/ etc for grating a block themselves.

Real Parmigiano-Reggiano has been readily available at the local grocery store for a while now, at least in my neck of the woods. Yes, it's like 26 bucks a pound, but most average consumers don't by a whole pound of this stuff. I buy maybe an 8, 6 ounce wedge for like 10, 12 bucks and since it's dry cheese, it lasts a long time and worth the 10, 12 bucks.

I would never use that processed cheese food product those brits are endorsing. The best way for grilled burgers is when burger near done flip again immediately put cheese on and remove a sec or 2 later then let set for a min before putting cold toppings on it. I'm a big cheese head on a budget and just 1/2 way through I say some is bs. Lets see what the second 1/2 has to say. BTW cellulose "is the main constituent of plant cell walls and of vegetable fibers" not just wood.

Yes, a lot of people in much more poorer countries funny can afford all the finest of food, while people in the US isn’t considered a poor country, yet, we have more people that struggle to put a meal on the table most nights. And,the majority of the people in the US are eating the finest of food, but, just simple basic good food.
