Anyone else really not fused about cut scenes? I don't want visuals and format changes I want CONTENT. It feels like a lazy pretty easy addition added to career mode to shut us up so we can't moan about career mode being neglected. I would much rather a youth overhaul within the game with U23's and U18's squads with real players and managers. Also simulated matches are still soo outdated and wrong. The fact you just skip the match without any control over tactics, subs or even morale. Career mode is still so lacking, adding a couple of cutscenes (which will get boring very quickly) simply isn't enough.

ok so you've created a problem yourself here. It's only taking so long because you're doing them all at the same time, here's what you should've done and what most experienced players will actually do. Never let a player get to a year left on their contract unless they plan on retiring, the main reason to always have players on 2 or more years is so they demand a higher fee if you want to transfer them. Players on a year or less will get you less money, that's number 1. Number 2 is for this exact problem you've created for yourself, you can view a players contract any time, if they have 18 months, offer them a new contract then, then you don't have to sit through 15 players in a row, you could spread it over a few months gameplay negotiating contracts here and there, this problem only exists if you're a noob who let's peoples contracts get like that.

1. There is a reasons in real life player contracts are always negotiated during the season and not wait until the end of the season, that's how you have the issue you have now. 2. There is a delegate transfer negotiations option, i've never used it, but i assume what it does is automates it with an agent and you don't have to go through it, i guess delegate does it how it did in 2017? 2018 is my first time back playing since 2006. 3. Hold down PC (enter key) and it cuts each cut scene during the negotiation process, that helps to speed it up.

In my opinion it adds a new sense of realism to the game. If you were the manager of a football team it wouldn't take you 5 minutes to renegotiate a contract with all of your players. You would have to sit down with the player and his agent and discuss the players ambitions, you would have to make the player feel like your team is the team he wants to stay at and play for. You need to discuss your future plans with the club and that players involvement in that future. I think it was a good decision to add this feature to the game and make it your only choice for contract negotiation

Yes I also found it an issue, but it's already fixed now, but there is an other stupid issue in fifa 18: when you sign a player you can't sell him or put him on the loan-list. You first have to wait until the new season starts.

Easier solution....renew contracts as & when during the season, I always make sure that my best players NEVER have less than 6 months left on their contracts at any point, they can be stolen for free so why risk it? If you've got a load of crappy players you're gonna let go anyway, so be it, but in this example - I'd never in a million years allow Juan Mata to have that little left on his deal if he were in my team. No change is required

Imo they should mix the Old Fifa contract system & the FIFA 18 contract system together. For the original offers of contract renewals, you should be able to simply offer them a written contract meeting there demands like previous fifas. However if they start rejecting contracts and/or start saying they want to leave, then the cutscenes should be implemented & you should be able to negotiate with them so that at least you know you've done all you can to keep your best players, rather than feeling helpless like you do on previous fifas.

So, we extend or not the contract if the player is doing well, and we have that number according to the statistics of the player, goals, assists etc. It’s a good idea to dribble this error and transform the game more real!!! You know you can delegate to sign players or renew contract players, I like the cutscenes for the best way to do it is to renew the contracts as longs as the season goes and not wait to the end of it or mid season if you have a lot so this is not an issue.

Both of those seem to bug me out quite a bit tbh. I'd rather take as little time yet as much care with extending my players contracts but now that it could take a longer time to renew contracts, it'll most likely force me to renew them a lot sooner than I would like. As for the secondary minor problem, it also bugs me because I'd rather have the player now rather than at the end of their contract, but I guess it isn't the end of the world tbh. It just pisses me off that they'd take out actual features that make career mode more authentic. However none of those problems would ever be anywhere near as bad as players' stats always declining right when they turn 30. It's almost like EA treat it like late bloomers don't even exist. Look at Jamie Vardy, Luca Toni, Fabio Grosso and Miroslav Klose for example, they all hit their prominence in their mid to late 20s. Even Zlatan Ibrahimovic, one of the greatest of all time, in his own way hit his peak a lot later on in his career despite his impressive resume before he turned 30. They need a feature like old Fifas on the PS2 which allow you to choose when a player hits their peak and it's reflected in their potential which you could actually view in career mode. That needs to be something they keep in mind for future Fifa games too

If you know you have certain players' contracts will expire, do the progressively throughout the season

I believe it would be great if you could play a career mode where you are appointed at a struggling club and are tasked with keeping them in the league

Jay in real life football contracts are done this way if you want FIFA to be realistic as possible than even contract renewals should be properly done aswell .

Completely agree. I know it's small, but I am already on the fence for buying this Fifa. The game hasn't even come out yet and problems like this are coming through the woodwork. I play the game for fun, wading through all of these minor contract renewals for hours cumulatively over the course of a career mode is not fun.

I just want to see my hame face back in the game, would love that now as the german tier 3 league is in the game, my player carrier mode is still one of the biggest reason I play

With the January transfer thing what you do is go into talks to sign the player before January starts and then once it is agreed they will join u on January

there should be an option before you start the career mode to either HAVE the cut scenes, or to not have the cut scenes

My question is why doesnt anyone ever sample the PLAYER career mode? I am a big fan of creating my player and want to know will there be similar cut scenes in the PLAYER Career mode to the manager mode
