Too many people running with half their car. Should have a front clip and a hood on to line up, otherwise you enable lazybones plumbing and turbo set-ups that obviously would never fit without the effort of custom body work. The red truck in the finals is a good example.

@@TennTitansand @FreddyFunderbunz should both read my comment again and note that I did not make any reference to an advantage in aero or even an advantage in the 5 or so seconds the cars are racing even if an argument could be made on that debate. There is an advantage in ease of maintenance and power adder packaging by completely omitting the front bodywork. It would suck to be a good fabricator who knows how to tuck turbos and weld/route pipes in an engine bay and show up and find your competition is straight out of junkyard wars. Running half the car is lazy, unfinished, unprofessional, and shows a lack of respect for the craft. My opinion. If the trend continues why even start with a car? Just run tubular chassis like a rock bouncer with slicks.

@@FreddyFunderbunz Rear mounted turbos and bed mounted turbos for trucks are an accepted method of packaging and does not sacrifice the original look and spirit of the vehicle, so your example does not align. If you removed the bed to install a 5x8 sized intercooler or something ridiculous, then that's a good example because you're sacrificing the look and spirit of the truck to gain a racing advantage with an oversized cooler instead of packaging smaller cooler(s) skillfully within the bed of the intact truck.
