Wouldnt be surprised if his right leg got stuck in a small hole on the field which couldve caused his foot to stay in same position while his upper body was being forced backward/downward by the opposing player. Holes in grass pitches are a nightmare you rarely see them till too late. My one teamate got a knee injury from a fist sized hole, tried to step tackler, he was out for whole season and still after could never run with the same speed and intensity as before.
