Pls add lots more foliage around the red wood trees because in real life, they have a surrounding of little plants and then lots of ferns and other such plants. Also, they have big roots that go out from them. Finally, if you are coming to have one bare or unearthed/fallen down, for bare Ames the inside of the trunk hollow as if it was burned cause that happens a decent bit and for fallen over, give lots of roots and their hole root system comes out with them. Awesome trees.

Hi Scar, I don't know if you're gonna see this because this comment is two days late, but i figured this was important! I actually have the privilege to LIVE in one of the beautiful redwood forests in western America. First of all, those are INCREDIBLE. They are so perfectly accurate to redwood trees outside of my house! And THANKYOU for making the colors correct, I've seen some people make the redwoods a dark brown with BRIGHT BRIGHT red insides, but that orangey hue is just perfect. BUT... And this is not a criticism of your build, just a little cool insider tidbit for those who'd like it: 1. Redwood trees are extremely jampacked, basically growing yards from one another (Meters for the world) and essentially take over any sight of the sky. Also, irl, redwood trees are not that big. Because they grow so quickly and constantly, there is logging 24/7 in our forests. Only the California Giants are that big, because they were allowed to keep on growing. Outside of my home are actually some really big hollowed out remnant stumps of the once magnificent trees! I think it would be so cool if you scattered some logging stumps about. You could maybe even put a little logger cabin hidden somewhere between the trees But yeah, most real trees now are mostly about one block wide in real life! There's also hundreds of teeny tiny (about two-three blocks high) mini redwoods all about between the trees, which are the babies. I think another amazing tree you could build if you'd ever like some more is what I like to call "big twisties" which are some really wacky trees that grew their branches out wildly bending all over the place and up and down and everywhere! They're also usually pretty short because their branches aren't the best. Thank you for taking the time to really build and appreciate these majestic trees, because although famous, they don't get all of the service I believe they deserve.

Seeing the hairless cat trees gave me an idea, you could have a tree that struck by lightning and broke in half and either, the top broken of half fell into a river, creating a kind of natural bridge, that doesn’t go all the way across, with mushrooms, fungi, mold, stuff like that, or, the top half is just on the ground, and it’s been altered for like, kids to play on, or something like that

I am immensely sad that, due to technical difficulties, we will never be able to see your point of view from the instantly iconic “hello, God!” moment as Cub slowly and majestically descends from the heavens. hey Scar, I know you want to keep the shadows under the trees but mobs will keep spawning if the blocks on the ground are at light level 0, but luckily there are some things that can be used to bring the light level up to around 1-3 and still have the blocks look pretty dim: brown mushrooms and redstone torches brown mushrooms give off a light level of 1, and might even give off some detailed storytelling by having patches of dark-loving muchrooms growing under the thickest shadows of the redwoods. redstone torches can be placed under moss carpets and give off a low light level, which placed between mushrooms will help prevent mobs spawning under the trees but still keep the darkness that wouldn't be there if someone placed down regular torches instead

You could make a fallen redwood tree The roots could be sticking up out of the ground and you could make the tree in different stages of decay (you could make it still have leaves or you could make it rotting.) you could also have it fallen on the track on either side of the train, either explaining why it isn't going anywhere or making it like it's trapped and has to go into the portal.

What redwoods have that "christmas tree" leaf distribution pattern where the bottom has way more leaves? The redwoods/sequoias I've seen had relatively even leaf reach throughout (after the bare section at the bottom), with a bit of a bulge near the center. OH---I looked it up, young sequoias DO kind of have that pattern! That would also explain their (relative to mature giant sequoias) medium-small size. Your redwoods are beautiful! I’m from Northern CA so I can attest to their accuracy. My only recommendation is that they grow in bunches bc the “mother” tree’s seeds drop and then new trees grow right next to her (like 20-30 ft away)
