The best UFO catcher I found in Japan was in the Adores arcade in Ikebukuro. Leave the station and walk toward Sunshine City. Adores will be on the left. Facing the building, go in and stay against the left wall. Walk as far as you can down that aisle of machines, until you get to the stairs at the back of the room. The very last machine on your right is incredibly strong. It's a single armed UFO catcher with the arm on the right, which can cascade the stuff into the chute. I think I had 45 wins in about 3000¥ of play on that machine.

Thanks for the great tip. There are lots of arcades on Sunshine 60 street, including 2 Adores (the one on the left you mentioned, and, further down, one on the right), Round1, Sega and Game Saint-Tropez (right across from Tokyu Hands).

Everyone knows about this place now! Theres a Japanese youtube channel called bombomtv where two girls play ufo catchers from here. They release a video every single day, including weekends! I have no idea what they are saying, but they do put a good show!
