Honestly not sure where the Jets go from here. Do they just wait for Rodgers to retire? Do they blow up the roster now? Even if they do run the table (they won’t) and make the playoffs, are they capable of making a run? They’re having issues on both sides of the ball and I dont see a world where this season ends positively for them.

It's hard to win in the NFL and the Jets still have a lot of moving parts. Maybe they just thought they were closer on their team build than they actually were. A couple takeaways for me: Malik Willis is somehow an elite backup QB. He's done nothing but play smart football in relief of Jordan Love. Really happy for him since there was a lot of hope for him as a prospect As a Seattle fan, I get a nagging feeling that Macdonald might not be a good hire. They're sloppy, undisciplined and inconsistent...and the players are literally fighting on the sideline. Ironically Dan Quinn, who no one in Seattle wanted to come back, might have been the better hire. Washington isn't complaining. Oh, and the Jets are the funniest plane wreck in history. I wonder if Rodgers will just wander out of the locker room one day and just start a podcast. He's so over the hill and has managed to ruin his reputation/brand so much in the last three years.

You obviously didn't understand the situation. He was gassed after two straight plays where he scrambled for his life. From ESPN: "The second-year quarterback exited the game after scrambling around furiously on the previous two plays against the Houston Texans' defense. On a second-and-goal play from the Houston 23-yard line, Richardson shook off a would-be sack from defensive tackle Folorunso Fatukasi before turning up the field and looking for a target. Richardson ended up keeping the ball and was ultimately tackled by linebacker Jake Hansen for no gain". Comment from the coach: "He needed a breather," Steichen said. "He ran three times in a row and it was third and long, so we were going to hand the ball off ( anyway)."

I believe you are not being fair to the Cardinals. Yes, they arent a great team, but they have had a pretty tough schedule and outside the Commanders game, they have been in every game. They almost beat the Bills, they did very well vs the Lions. They didnt allow a single sack against the Lions with 4th string OL playing and the Cards defense kept them scoreless in the second half. They have a top 5 TE in McBride and you can see what MHJ can do when he finally gets it together with KM. Murray is a top 10 QB as well. Their main issue is definitely their defense, but being 4-4 after playing the likes of the Bills, Lions, 49ers, Commanders, Chargers and now the Tua led Dolphins is pretty good. Rams game the Cards were missing players too, but it was bad for the Rams. The Cards defense is what helped keep them in games, like the Chargers game and the Lions game.

I do think the Vikings can prove that they can be contenders, but they have a lot more to prove. The defense should be and is a lot better than it has shown the past 2 weeks. The offense is a concern for me, as KOC may be able to run a consistent offense that scores 20+ points every week, they don’t have that cut throat style offense that can score 40+ points at any given week, or at all really.
@ariejohnson19443 ай бұрын
I think they are at a cross roads. The defense was amazing the first month or so, the offense did what it had to. The last two weeks the defense collapsed at the worst times and the offense has sputtered. The defense needs to be able to get home with 4 since it seems offenses have figured out Flores complex blitzes. The cover 0 killed them in the Lions game and the pass rush was a non factor against LA which exposed the aged/mediocre corners. If KOC can get the offense consistent(like you said they never are gonna be able to score 40 points in an offensive shoot out but still that doesn't mean that the offense cant make plays) and if the defense can make plays and shut down offenses like it did in the first 5 weeks then the Vikings can win a couple playoff games and who knows where they would go from there.

2 main takeaways: 1) I agree that the Bengals are not the team at the level they were expected to be at, so since you're saying "they're done" on that level, I agree. However, I think a statement like that, when paired with the Jets in the video title, makes it seem like you think both are at the same level of "done" and I don't agree. The Jets seem like they won't make the playoffs and have zero cohesion. The Bengals probably won't either, but the only teams ahead of them are a Colts team that seems wildly inconsistent as well and seems to have issues at QB that need to be sorted, which is never a good sign. And the Chargers, who haven't played against very talented offenses in their wins, have lost against the ones that are even slightly okay, also have to play the rest of the AFC North like Cinci, and play Cinci in two weeks. They're not that far off from a playoff spot despite how bleak it seems, so I think they're still at a level above the Jets and have more hope than most other AFC teams. 2) Matt Eberflus. Good lord. The defensive back jawing with fans during the hail mary is awful, shows a lack of command of your team and your team not respecting you, and will get the headlines (could you imagine someone doing this on a Mike Tomlin team?) The Bears literally allowing like a 15 yard out prior to put Washington in position to throw the hail mary should be getting far more attention. But did you hear his answer regarding the handoff to the O-Lineman Doug Kramer that was fumbled? After saying we need to execute better, he added "it's a one-yard play, and we felt a big guy like that taking a dive could do that." Okay. If I'm a player on that team, and I know that we're trying a cute gimmick play with a guy who, even if you practice it, is NOT PAID NOR TRAINS REGULARLY TO HANDLE THE BALL, and I hear THAT answer, which seemingly throws him under the bus and tries to wash your hands of some accountability when you were starting to take it at first? I would go "fuck this guy" and I wouldn't want to play for him, I'd feel like this guy does not support us, and that strikes me as a comment that could risk losing the entire locker room. I know Andy Reid's "it's my fault, I have to do a better job coaching" excuse for any loss is trite and nobody really buys it, but you at least know as a player that you're going to be protected a bit.

I agree, Bengals may not be Super Bowl contenders like we thought but they still seem able to make the playoffs. Disappointing for them but that team just has so many holes and I think it would hurt the Bengals to make a coaching change as well.

They probably are a level above the Jets but let’s not be fooled here. The Bengals 3 wins were against my Panthers, the Giants and the DeShaun Watson Browns. All 3 teams expected to be top 5 picks in the upcoming draft. (Unless Jameis now carries the Browns to a few more wins) I suppose my main point is they haven’t proven they can beat anybody yet that isn’t bad
@gregpartridge75543 ай бұрын
The Bengals and the Jets are New England's only two wins this season, and of the two the Jets game was closer. Beyond their two star players the Bengals are not very good. Also: the Colts may have QB issues, but they also have an easier division, and they're 4-4 having already played the Texans twice.

Aaron Rodgers is clearly still depressed from not being drafted by the 49ers. Still hasn't let go after all these years subconsciously. If he had you wouldn't be seeing all of these embarrassing shenanigans he's got going on right now with the Jets. What a sad man. And he's got a Super Bowl ring! Talk about ironic!

Seattle and SF in 11, 12, 13, 14 shook up the landscape against Rodgers and Brees. Brees recovered first, then Rodgers, but they may have waited too long. Also the NFC has a trend of winning NFCCGs with fresh new teams.

I hate to say the Saints arent going to. There's still too much dilussion amongst fans and the front office that they're just a few pieces away from a superbowl. Plus the cap situation is going to mean there'll be even less depth next year (they'll get under the cap as always, but it'll mean less money to work with)
@W81Researcher3 ай бұрын
But the tough defensive part of our schedule is out of the way. Our OL is hopefully completely healthy for Atlanta. Them, Myles Garrett/JW, Washington, and Raiders are my biggest concerns but that first two weeks Saints is better than three of those. But yeah two more losses and that may be it. The teams I see contending for that 7 seed is Arizona, SF, and Minnesota at around 9 or 10 wins.

I hate being a ravens fan right now. Apparently we can’t have a game where things just go right. We either give up big leads, some players play well in the first and then just stop in the second, and the defense for a franchise that’s been known for defense for like 20 years is suddenly failing at that
@thezackast27523 ай бұрын
Bo nix is doing well as the Broncos qb. That's all I really have to say. They aren't a very talented team, and he's doing an excellent job leading them through games. He's exceeding expectations of a rookie qb. Also, the Seahawks need to draft a qb either in this years draft or the next. Preferably one with a ton of upside. Geno is doing alright, but he isn't going to take them to the top and he is getting old. If they pick up a raw qb they can develop him now and have a replacement by the time Smith is out. Smith should also be notified that said drafted qb is not there to take his job, just so they can compete when he retires.
