The Bighorn Wilderness. A hidden gem near Landers California.

The New Dixie Mine Trail is an easy 7.5 mile drive through a scenic Canyon. Although the road is rough with an annoying washboard surface any vehicle with a decent amount of clearance can make the drive. Once exiting the canyon the road crosses a flat plain sitting between desert and mountain climate. This is a great place to camp for free on BLM land and spend a weekend exploring the many
trails. There's all sorts of trails here from easy to rock crawling.
I'm planning a weekend trip here some time in the middle or end of February With a couple of friends.
They both have Big trucks, It would be nice to have a couple other Subaru owners on the trip. Anybody that's interested leave a comment below.

Another awesome video, it’s inspired me to go out there. Are you going to be out there this weekend? I’ll be exploring this area on Feb 18th in a 4x4 Spinter and a Dual Sport dirt bike, it would be cold to see you and your crew out there.

The spot around 2:47 is pretty tight. Had to crawl through there in my Forester, awkward rocks on the left

Have you also ever gone on the Burns Trail, which is pretty nearby

Yes I've done Burns canyon... this video is a few years old kzbin.info/www/bejne/nKHKq4uJfquid7s. I rode my ebike up there about 6 months ago and the road was really bad, not sure if the subaru could still make it.
