My homeschool field trips were so much fun. My mom and the other moms in the group would talk to museums, farms, factories, etc and get permission to bring us out. The owners were usually flattered and loved to show us around

What a great experience for the kids. I don't know if I would be able to get my half Filipino girls into that cold water. Maybe if I convinced them it was a skin treatment 🤣.

What a trip Jon..... and in the way you have developed interactions with nature and different localities it’s no wonder everyone gets an opportunity to see that world and the powerful teacher is in everything.......You might ask your friends there in Scotland about a song written in England I believe. The song has a line that most everyone would recognize and that is “ hey, teacher!, leave those kids alone!, and would speak to your ideas of education not taking place “inside 4 walls” in addition to the notion that institutions, government and corporations don’t hold the power to grow and graduate in life.
