There has not been anything quite like The Bill since it went off air. As a kid I enjoyed the show a lot and it was one of the "family sit down together to watch" shows but I don't think it was until these last few years when I started to watch the reruns on TV that I fully appreciated just how great a show The Bill truly was/is.

I loved The Bill. Great acting and quirky plots. If they made a present day series about plod, could I suggest it's named the Five Percenters? It would be an accurate and appropriate title as they only solve five percent of reported crime.

Why were they angry at him for doing his job, chasing criminals and running into danger, that's his job, his partners in the wrong for sitting behind.

because they can catch the criminals later on, they have the owner of the stolen car, so they can put out warrants for it. There are also cameras that can see what happened and identify the criminals.

Because his partner wasn't to blame Sargent Smith was right in what he said to him he was lucky they only took his kit from him & didn't hurt him or his partner coz in running off on his own after them he didn't stop to think that by leaving his partner alone she cud be vulnerable aswell if any of them decided to come back to the vehicle if they assumed that the cops were chasing them then the car wud be clear to return to & disappear off in & so he not only made himself vulnerable to attack (or being ambushed like he was) but he also left his partner alone & vulnerable too. He was in the wrong not his partner & when she tried to call him over the radio to find out where he was & if he was OK he failed to answer her preventing help getting to him sooner & leaving her unaware as to where he was, if he was OK and safe or if he needed assistance. He only had himself to blame and he had the entirely wrong attitude on him when he went after them too which is how they were able to ambush and corner him and rob him of his entire kit, he was in the wrong and completely to blame for it

I say the same it's alright for criminals to hurt nice people but not for the police to do their jobs properly

But he should get into the gym and do some weights, and eat a bit more and put on some beef. His arms are like twigs and he he looks like a weakling. But he's got bottle.

For somebody who was repeatedly beaten all night, to the point of unconsciousness, that bloke in hospital had remarkably few injuries and could sit up and speak clearly and intelligibly, and appeared to be in no discomfort.
