The largest flaw with MTG is its defense mechanic, if you make card A block against card B's attack, and then remove card A before the attack happens, card B's attack is still blocked by a card that doesn't exists anymore... think about that

I cannot stand Magic. I appreciate how beautiful the mechanics are for how you can create synergies, and the stack is genius. But I hate random chance with a passion. And no matter how well you build your deck, you're still at the mercy of random chance if you pull a good card. I lived in a house of people who loved Magic religiously, when I only liked it casually. They made it not fun because they optimised their decks to hell and back by spending hundreds on the hobby. The final straw was when I went up against two Blue decks in a game of Commander. Fuck Blue Decks

I hope NL doesn't mind (who am I kidding, egg doesn't read the comments), but he talked about magic arena and I make content on it. I have actually been doing a series of videos meant to help newer players and people really seem to like how in depth I go with my decisions. Feel free to check me out if you want. I always thought it was cool that Ryan liked magic but his attitude towards good players is pretty negative.

Why? He doesn't seem to mean anything negative by it, but he seems to have a strong distaste for people who are good at these types of games. I don't recall where it was but he once told an anecdote of losing a match to someone and the opponent asked if he could give advice and after he started giving what sounded like reasonable advice NL just ghosted the guy saying he didn't need that kind of help. I've been watching NL for years and I love that NL can have fun with the hobby I have been playing for years, but he seems to (and this is just based on the information I have from his own anecdotes) show disdain for people who are good at the game and try to give actually reasonable advice. Obviously there are elitist dbags in MtG, but I would be hesitant to offer advice to NL (that isn't just play more) because I have reason to believe his response would be dismissive. If my message came off as disrespectful, I apologize.
