As a Second Life player and entertainer, the reason it can't be streamed is actually both of the reasons you gave. There are "adult" areas in SL where naughty stuff happens that break Twitch ToS and there were streamers who just went in to harass and bully people which also didn't vibe with Twitch ToS. I kinda wish it was okay to stream, I'd love to stream my DJ sets and show the pretty normal and totally geeky side of SL to others.

The thing about the Metaverse that Facebook proposed is that, much to everyone's surprise, they proposed for the metaverse to be open for other companies to take part in, it wouldn't be restricted to Oculus users. I believe the intention is that Facebook wishes to further VR tech as a whole since they know any evolution in VR means money for them, regardless of whether it's restricted to them or not. If I recall correctly, they've even proposed to create the tech for the metaverse on their own and keep it open for other companies to take part in, although they're hoping for other groups to pitch in and help develop it. It's something very crazy to hear coming from Facebook's mouth, and I could be wrong on some details - it's been awhile since I read those news - but it sounds really good for the VR industry.

Although my job is in person, to avoid having people gather in one room we have meetings over Teams. Probably about 10-15% of the company actually likes to turn on the camera (most of them in management roles); the rest just turn it off. Personally, I usually chime in via text if I'm not the one directly talking in order to avoid interrupting other people talking.

Honestly I don't think most 90s and later people respect theaters regardless, it's true even more for people who are small kids right now it's not being built up, but I mean, personally I did go to a fair bit of theaters as a kid, but now I hate most of the companies that make the big stuff, which a lot of younger people share the opinion of, and don't have excess spending money either, haven't gone to theaters in like 10 years and don't plan to in the future really. Home is sufficient for movies and all that. If someone invited me, maybe, but if I was to have a kid I wouldn't actively take them to theaters. Also you should in fact be knocking the nfts they're a blight to society even if 'collecting' is a fun concept

Honestly NFT's I don't get at all. In my opinion it's just a convenient way of a) laundering money or b) something for rich people who don't know what to spend their money on. So many good things around you that are in dire need of donations, like your local animal shelter, local homeless shelter or even Wikipedia but instead people choose to spend fortunes just to 'own' a dunk, a goal, a meme,... I can't understand it and I never will.

Actually, NFT Technology will be very useful for record-keeping and logging of data for the sorts of stuff that goes to auction. However, the cryptopunks and speculative "coin" market actually provide almost nothing to society. Cryptocurrency does have merit, but only as far as being a decentralized remote money storage system. TL;DR NFTs are overglorified receipts, and shouldn't be bought, unless they're being produced by a corporation as a sort of certificate of ownership for a physical product.

I can see how it would be valuable for corporations like you said and maybe artists who want to sell digital art, but that's only a small fraction of how it's used right now.
