What's amazing about Solar powered energy is that we are just figuring it out after seeing the suns powerfull presence since the birth of our planet. Better late then never.

nah, its been used for 1000 years+ to heat, its just that its finally technologically economical to use it to produce electricity

Tax payers pay 95% of the cost and get nothing for it. Even if it comes close to breaking even on the 5% investors shelled out. This is the most expensive form of energy on the planet. Don't let government spending fool you all.

i would love to see the size of that inverter ?
@johnf62622 жыл бұрын
From what I have seen they use small inverters turning a small amount of panels into ac then connecting all the ac line ac travels across wires than low voltage DC.

Where is the energy going? And do it bring the cost of everyone power bill down?
@ryanroberts11044 жыл бұрын
LOL! Why would they do that? This was built by a company in the business of selling electricity. They charge extra for solar generated power whenever possible.

NC is ripe for solar. that state is the number 1 lithium producing state in the country.

Oh wonderful. Once the batteries are installed, the inverters, reactors, fans and transformers can make noise 24 hours per day.

Raise the panels 6 feet and graze animals underneath.
@MrSteago17 жыл бұрын
Brian Garrow what does that mean?...
@briangarrow4487 жыл бұрын
MrSteago1 I would like to see dual usage of the property. If the panels were elevated, animals could graze under them. Sheep would keep the vegetation down and wouldn't damage or bump the panels. So instead of losing acreage of pasture, there would be an increase.
@MrSteago17 жыл бұрын
Brian Garrow never heard the term "gaze animal" before. wasn't certain what you meant by that... thanks for replying and confirming what I thought you meant...
@msboston017 жыл бұрын
He meant grazing as in eating (come on, you had to know that). I can however answer the question. Raising the panels to allow cattle to forage and eat would not be very productive as 1) there wouldn't be that much grass as half the land is shaded and 2) it would create new challenges for maintenance crews. A good dual use of land/power is adding panels to a roof of a large warehouse/factory imho.

@fredsheehan26502 жыл бұрын
And plants between the shadows will be inundated with high velocity sheets of water running of the panels when it rains, washed away.

Where is the meat and potatoes? This is all, feel good about yourself (for making a huge, government subsidized, profit) for installing solar panels “free energy”. Where are the facts? Cost of project, power production, longevity, maintenance required, etc. I recycled a soda can, I felt no need to video it, I didn’t even get nothing out of my recycling of said can.
@SolarJim27 жыл бұрын
it should over produce, the DC/AC Ratio is very high.
@Wonder-the3 жыл бұрын
Just to produce one panel it causes so much pollution, plus it needs so much land that could be use to produce food or shelters for animals or humans, plus it always, always need a back up power go work, sooooo it’s just a wast of money and propaganda to make people think they are doing a good job
@illuminate46223 жыл бұрын
You're wrong. It doesn't use too much land or minerals. What do you think is the alternative? I think solar is the best energy source by far.
@Richard-ie1if6 жыл бұрын
how much money does this lose...using semi useful land in NC versus desert? energy/m^2 alone is low not to mention the waste of that land
@Richard-ie1if6 жыл бұрын
not 1 financial posted, so this was a waste of tax payer money. if they're lucky maybe a 15-20 year return at best if the market can consume it.
@joyo44354 жыл бұрын
@@Richard-ie1if The oil and coal industries gets a lot more subsidies than any renewable energy source also solar is one of the cheapest way to make energy. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cost_of_electricity_by_source#United_States Also it takes 5-6 years to pay back NOT 15-20 years. www.renewableenergyhub.co.uk/main/solar-panels/return-on-investment-for-pv-return-on-investment-for-solar-panels-roi-for-pv-solar-panels-pay-back/
