Misleading title. Acid House was born in Chicago and adopted by the British several years later.

Clayton Brown We never invented anything but like The Beatles and Rolling Stones remaking R&B and the Pistols with punk. We took an obscure form of American music and opened it up to the world. I was there for the acid house explosion in this country and it was going off here big time while everyone was still listening to Guns n Roses in the states. We may not invent music but we lead the way.
