Sierra, I am 28 weeks pregnant, and I’m scared of the possibility of having a c-section! Thank you SO much for sharing your experience! Knowing that you’ve been through it and that your baby girl is here and safe gives me so much hope! This video has calmed my nerves!
@Nordap19863 жыл бұрын
The idea of csetions can be scary, but in the end they really arent as scary as we build them up to be. I have 3 csetions and will be 21 weeks tomorrow. I will have my 4th Csection in October. All of mine have gone great. You might not need one, but if you do it will be ok. Either way you will meet your precious baby soon.
@brittanyberrien6643 жыл бұрын
I had a very similar experience to Sierra, except while I went into labor naturally, I just never progressed. Finally c-section because necessary as well.. I remember being so afraid and crying. I called my mom and she said something that is obvious, but something I really needed to hear. She said "it will be okay. People have c-sections every day and are fine!" I had the cesarean and ended up having a quick and easy recovery! You'll do great one way or another, you got this!
@AyshaLovesYou3 жыл бұрын
I had a c-section. My daughter was breech and had the cord wrapped around her neck. So she actually had to be taken away for 2 hours after the c-section, to an incubator. My husband had to go hangout with her while I sat in the hospital room alone. It wasn’t my ideal birth situation at all! I wanted an all natural birth. But after all of that, she came back to my room and everything with her was completely fine. She is 16 months now, very healthy and smart, and attached to my hip constantly. I was worried that her not having skin to skin contact after birth would harm our relationship, but she’s such a mama’s girl! C-sections can be very scary, but we have them for a reason, in case of emergency! Birth never turns out exactly how we want it to, but that’s just how raising a child is! It never turns out how you’d expect it to. Just know that whatever happens during your birth, you will have a good team of doctors, and your baby will love you unconditionally no matter what happens!

I was my sister's support person during her c section a couple of months ago. I can honestly say that it was the most beautiful thing I've ever had the privilege to witness. It is equally as valid and miraculous as a vaginal birth

My physician hubby when I told him you had the baby immediately asked how much did the baby weigh and how long was she. Many years ago he delivered babies. It wasn't mine either, yet that's what I ended up having, but, as my husband and my pilates instructor said, "you did everything you could to reach a normal birth, and it turns out it wasn't possible, but in the end, the most important thing is that baby arrives healthy"

I’ve never had a child but I am very curious about why people are very set in a birth plan. I mean this with no hate I’m genuinely curious of why moms get disappointed not giving birth vaginally vs c-section. Is it because c-sections are scary because it’s more like a surgery?
@breaynacurran13803 жыл бұрын
@@CaraBearxx I think, personally, it’s just never what I envisioned! I think like with most things in life you have an idea of what you’d like and where you’re going and sometimes that doesn’t happen. I’m definitely not someone that could simply never have a birth plan, because it’s such a major event I can’t imagine having no opinion or game plan for it. Also, the recovery seems 10x scarier (imo) because it’s a surgery on top of your body going back to how it was, and taking care of another little human.
@CaraBearxx3 жыл бұрын
@@breaynacurran1380 thank you so much your response! That makes a lot of sense, I already get stressed out of little things don’t go as planned but it’s a while other can of worms having a child too. I had my son in July 2020 via emergency c-section. We had planned a water birth at home but after my waters broke before contraction started, an induction in the hospital and 2 days of labour, we decided to go for the c-section when it was suggested to us. I have felt 0 regret or disappointment that it went that way. I have told multiple people that I feel like it went the way it was supposed to for him to come Earth side, and I have been completely at peace with the whole thing right from the start. You're the first person I've seen describe your feelings in the same way and I just want to say thank you for that, it feels nice to hear someone else validate the way I feel about it all.

“There’s our daughter” and i started crying

i didn't expect to get emotional over this! i am not a baby person and have no desire to ever have kids myself, but something about watching the sheer joy of a new mother/father after the difficulties of labour and birth just gets to you. i got a little teary at the emotion in stephen and sierra's voices right when little grace was being born. such a beautiful moment and we're very lucky you chose to share it with us!

Oh my goodness, I cry every time I see dads cry when they see their baby for the first time! It gets me excited for when our baby girl gets here later this year and to see my husband holding our daughter! Congrats to the three of you and I know y’all will make many happy memories together!!

I developed full blown Eclampsia and had to have a C-section with the birth of my daughter. I never felt bad about not havg a vaginal birth. I was just thankful she was healthy . Congratulations on your birth, Grace is beautiful. Enjoy getting to know her , these will be some of the most precious memories you have.

We have such similar birth stories, I had my daughter by emergency c-section on March 25th after 3 days of unmedicated labor. It’s unbelievable how quickly you go from agreeing to the c-section to holding baby in your arms. As much as I didn’t plan on delivering that way, none of it mattered once she was here in my arms. You’re going to be the best parents, Grace is a lucky girl! 💕

CONGRATULATIONS! Watching this video took me back to my own birth (just 3 months ago). It’s amazing how strong we women are, and how quickly we forget what we had to go through as soon as we see those eyes looking up at us, baby on our chest. You can just tell how much you love her already❤️ Hoping for a quick recovery for you.

I catch a few videos of Sierra every once and a while, so I’m not very invested. But watching this video had me in tears and that never happens. Seeing how supportive Stephen is not only of the baby but of Sierra is so heart warming. He always says how proud he is of you and how great you are doing. Such a beautiful family with amazing communication. Grace is a lucky girl to have you two.!
