This turned out great! I can't thank Nick from Halothane enough for the mix and master, plus the guitar solo! Alicia Peterson KILLED the vocals on this track too and I can't wait to work with her on some original stuff if she'll have me!

I feel like there's a bit too much reverb for some elements of this (or as a whole too), but this is actually really good. The sound fits pretty well with the original style, so you did capture the particular vibe the original song had. It doesn't feel out of place =)

Thanks! I just ear'd it and transposed all the keys and stuff to guitar. I love this song too. I probably first heard this back in 2006 or so and fell in love right away.

Its hard to cover synthwave, gothic and EDM bands when you don't have access to similar synthesizers. But i think in this mix the drums just completely blasted out everything else, making it sound even more barren than with the synth already missing. At times it literally sounds like i'm sitting with a drummer in a room and just hear the rest of the band playing on his walkman while he is drumming. So, great performance, and the mix doesn't sound unprofessional, but the mix ultimately is the reason why this track doesn't compare so well to the original one by the original band. Also the original song doesn't have a guitar solo?!
