The idea is that hospitals would have access to a private blockchain network on which medical records are sent, so that when you go to a hospital, they already have your medical info and they can be sure that it's correct. Because a consortium blockchain will typically have a lot less participants than a public blockchain, you need to have some degree of trust in the participants, and you need to keep write-access to the blockchain limited to a few trusted participants (hospitals). In this case, read access is also restricted to hospitals. Say what you will about this idea but it's definitely not "medical records on a public ledger" and I don't think it would be hell, even if terribly unsecure without some other protections

It's actually brilliant on some level, in that it literally directly monetizes clout/reputation (or at least tries to). Considering that that's the actual goal of every "influencer" (god I hate that term 🤮), what they're doing is in some way the purest form of social media. It's still despicable, but in a way it's what social media is evolving towards 🤷🏼‍♂️

An important point to note is that the amount shown to creators on their reserved profiles is a "market cap" type figure based on the current price of the coin BUT the binding curve means that the actual liquidated value (even assuming BitClout was liquid and withdrawable into crypto or fiat) is much smaller. And the difference is exponentially larger the smaller the profile.
