After watching this. I started fasting with me and my wife. I threw all the food out while she was at work she came home and told her we need to go get grocerys. And bought only the outside areas of the grocery store. (Except for dried beans). We've been eating twice a day and intermittent fasting for 5 months now. And I've lost 52 pounds and my wife has lost 64. We are not stopping because we were severely obese.

@spike8007 nice! Totally get her POV, a lot of exercise happens maintaining a household. I'm working in an office all day and started walking while slowly starting on this. Kicked processed food (a little bit of cheese left) and am working on lowering my carbs this week. Never felt better! I've enjoyed Dr. Pradip's insites immensely. Do you know he also loves& recommends doing a sauna 4 times a week? Maybe you can tempt her to go with you to a gym for a break (if you got a gym w/sauna that's is) instead of full workouts?

I hope you were doing intermittent fasting correct? Where are you hold back from eating for around 12 to 18 hours and very rarely go up an entire day not that you've gone four days without eating have you? That also can obviously have detrimental effects on your health when not needed and not beneficial in the short run or the long run

This particular Dr. Is new to me, but the information is not so new. There are other doctors I have been watching on KZbin for the last year or two, that give the same kind of information. I love it. I am 68, and have been accumulating metabolic issues for decades without realizing it. I found out a couple of years ago that I have high blood pressure, insulin resistance, low thyroid function, and pre-diabetes. So I have been cutting out bread, pasta sugar, starchy vegetables, sodas, fast food, processed food, and I cut out the seed oils a long time ago. I actually get angry when I see or hear people promoting the kinds of dietary guidelines that damaged my metabolic health. So, there was this younger lady talking about how healthy bananas and other carbs are, on a video the other night. I thought I should pass on a little of the information I have learned both from these doctors, and from my own experience with my own issues. I wrote a pretty long comment explaining a lot of what this doctor is saying in this video, except in my own words. I completely forgot about her until last night when she did a whole video which started out with her reading my whole comment. She didn't say my name or anything, but I was listening, and I said to myself, hey wait a minute...I wrote that. Then she proceeded to spew out a whole diatribe about how wrong I was, and how what I was saying was misinformation, and how elevated insulin is a natural function of the body, and that there is nothing wrong with bananas or fructose and how calories in, calories out is the be all and end all...and a whole bunch of other vile crap. The more I listened to her, the angrier I got. I guess I'm still at least a little angry about it, or I wouldn't be writing this now. I agree with you though...he gave us a fantastic presentation here. I wish I could post this on every one of those idiot fat acceptance channels, and every one of those CICO channels, and every vegan channel.

Just found this a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to get healthy as I lost my mom in 2020 and am losing my aunt shortly, both to heart disease/diabetes. He explained it beautifully and opened my eyes to insulin sensitivity and resistance, so I started intermittent fasting. I stopped sugars and processed foods, which I really thought I wasn't going to be able to do, since I live for bread and Coca-Cola. I haven't been "perfect" but, even then, I've lost 9 lbs in 10 days! Eating 2 healthy meals a day (16:8) with mainly veggies and proteins, although I do eat some low glycemic carbs. I am a 48 y/o perimenopausal female and I'm feeling SO much better. Sleeping better, and my mood has improved greatly. And I'd dare to say my depression is almost nonexistent...in only 10 days! Also, my body aches are gone. Thank you, Dr. J. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Breakfast wasn't a 'thing' until Edward Bernays, the father of PR - public relations. Nephew of Sigmund Freud he knew how to use false advertising. Fluoride in toothpastes etc, is byproduct of aluminum processing. Bernays came up with *3 out of 4 dentists bla bla bla* It's actually harmful to teeth & brain, calcifies pineal gland.. They add it to tap water, another 💰 making scam. We should filter tap water, be sure filter removes fluoride. Thank you for this great information. I am a 57-year-old diabetic C5 quadriplegic. Injured in 2001. In 2009 after five years of diabetic pills I became insulin dependent. I have struggled with my weight for the last 20 years. I started a zero-carb diet 5 weeks ago and I've lost over 20 pounds. I told my doctor I changed my diet and she freaked out and did a full lipid panel Which I did not fast for. Results 7.3 A1c, 139 chol, 34hdl, 74ldl, 174glu. She wanted me to go back on the high sugar diet of 300 carbs a day. I am extremely insulin resistant and was taking 60 units 3x a day both NovoLog and Lantus. After five weeks I'm now down to 30-45 units each daily with sugars ranging from 160 to 120 from 2 meals daily. After your video I am scared to take insulin, I think I have to just continue and eventually get off it by fasting, I don't want 300 blood sugars. Since my visit with the doctor my endocrinologist repeated what my primary doctor said "Stay on a balanced diet recommended by the government" of course this is a VA hospital. I cannot believe that the majority of the medical system is still believing this low fat hi sugar diet. I think that it's such a big racket with big pharma, the food industry, and the medical system including insurance are making mega dollars at our expense.

This video should have millions of views and Dr Jamnadas should have 10x subscribers. Can you imagine how many people could improve their health if they implemented what he is saying? I stopped telling friends and family when I am fasting. They don't understand and I got tired of trying to explain fasting is not starvation. People will not die if they miss a meal...or even ten. I've lost 30 pounds in 62 days. I am no longer a diabetic, my blood pressure is normal (was 210/90) and i have more energy. I still have a way to go to improve my weight and my health, but I am getting there. Thank you so much for this. Wish I knew this information years ago. I feel like physician's have let their patients down. In 2019 I was diagnosed with stage 3b colon cancer, had surgery and underwent 12 rounds of chemo. My oncologist said I shouldn't eat raw salads, and that sugar wasn't feeding my cancer. I didn't listen to her, and currently cancer is NED. I have been having elevated BP issues, increasing weight. None of my doctors felt it necessary to talk to me. Last month (November 2021) I was diagnosed with diabetes. And once again, instead of my doctor talking with me about fixing this with diet she wanted me to start Metformin. I said no and that I would fix this by my diet. Thank you thank you Dr. Jamnadas for caring ❤

I’ve been praying to Allah for a cure and I find this. I lost all self control after COVID. I couldn’t eat during COVID and lost so much weight. When I started recovering, I was ravenous. I was constantly hungry and unfortunately all I could taste was fish/ chicken and chips. I couldn’t taste strong flavours like curries. So it was junk food a few times a week. Maybe it started before COVID and wasn’t detected - but months I’ve been diagnosed with thyroid problems. I’m sure the junk food contributed to that. I have only myself to blame. I repent to Allah the Most Kind and Merciful for not taking care of my body. I thank Him for His mercy and bringing doctors like you in my life, who are helping the masses help themselves. There is no such thing as coincidence. Everything happens only by His will. Knowledge is priceless and you are giving it away to us from the generosity of your heart. Thank you! I eat once-twice a day, avoid processed/human-made carbs, most grains, sweets, sugar, milk, cheese and alcohol... get told I have an eating disorder. Yet, I am one of the leanest people in the circle/office and have no hang-ups with food, I don't track or weight my food and I can eat to perfect satiety most days, no energy crashes, clear skin and no cravings. Also a bonus that I have so little dishes to do and don't have to carry bags of food and snack with me everywhere I go.

To 4.9. My spike are low and steady. Mental fog, peripheral neuropathy, PCOS, gone. Dr. Jason Fung is my hero but Dr. Jamanadas is easier to listen to. I don't care where diabetics get their information as long as this message gets to as many as possible. As far as talking less goes, Hell No!! I started my restoration journey with Dr Jason Fung and Dr Ken Berry. Here I am with Dr Jamnadas and his has opened my eyes into empowerment to actually do a 3 Day Fast. I'm on Day three. Every que given to tackle the mental 'Junky Mind' in this process has worked. Yes, I have experienced the hunger pangs and I drank more water...we can water fast (herbal teas, coffee). We owe it to our vessels to get off the sugar and carbs..looking forward to feeling and being 'better'.

Dr. Jamnadas you a great speaker. I have been taking your advice and implementing much of it. I have totally changed in the last couple months. I was 270lbs and miserable on September 4th. Today I am 225lbs and feel great. Probably better than I ever have. Not just physically but mentally and emotionally as well. Thank you.

I noticed a huge difference in the diets of people when I was growing up in the countryside. There were few fat or overweight people, then as more and more fast food restaurants opened and the prices of fizzy drinks came down, I began to see more and more fat and overweight people in the countryside. I moved to the city to work on leaving school and saw more heavy people. Fast forward 40 years and now instead of seeing a few overweight and fat people, I'm seeing many. I see men with what looks like a 9 month pregnancy, belly. I see women with no neck, just a long tube from their chin to their chest and a waddle instead of a walk. Those people were non existent when I was a child, as we couldn't afford to eat to excess to allow our bodies to get into that state. It's only taken 40 or so years for it all to happen and it happened right before my eyes. Calories and processed foods are so cheap. Now it is more expensive to eat the diet I and others had as a child, with everything cooked from scratch and nothing processed in our meals. It is cheaper and more convenient to eat an easily or pre prepared diet. Whether it's from a fast food restaurant or pre prepared dishes from the supermarket, it's still cheaper than making everything from scratch with raw ingredients, and that, in my opinion is why we're seeing the diet problems we see today. Those pre prepared meals and fast foods are stuffed with hidden ingredients that we hoover up and can't get enough of. The advertising of energy drinks filled with fructose, sugar and glucose that are sold to us as healthy or trendy as well as the foods sold this way are all contributing to the peer pressure to be the same as others and bingo, you've got them hooked.

Couldn't have said it better myself. We grew up with beautiful gardens, chickens.. fresh eggs, drank raw milk. Public has been brainwashed that lowfat milk is healthier...it was a money making scam. They took the awesome fat to make more cheese & other products while convincing us skim milk is healthier... BULLSHIT !! 😁 Same with soap, I won't get into that now. Those greedy corporations will get theirs... Vengeance is mine said the Lord. (just picked tomatoes & zucchini from my little garden to share with a disabled neighbor. It would make a difference if we all grew produce, even if it's a container garden on balconies. Various kinds of micro- greens grown inside in winter for fresh nutrients 🌱not pesticide/herbicide GMO nonsense. I have a 300 lb sister with No self-control & doesn't care...her husband on liver transplant list & she still won't change eating habits. I don't understand. Thanks to anyone that read this far, great to chat with like-minded people. It was an inspiration to read your msg @Willy Wonka, thank you, God bless you, your family & others working on getting healthy 🌻 I'm blessed with good metabolism, no sugar addictions but I do like dark chocolate, almonds & dried coconut occasionally. (Oh, people would rather have pampered lawns & kill Dandelions, one of the healthiest greens) Raw or cooked 🌿🌱

@@michele-33 We kept a cow for milk for the house. We drank it neat, no pasturising, no treatment, just a cup dipped into the basin of raw milk, then off to bed. Occasionally we had to get a spoon and scoop out the blue bottles and other flies that were attracted to the milk and were drowning in it. We had no running water and a dry toilet outside by the barn, with sheets of newspaper to wipe up with. We grew every vegetable we ate and baked most of our bread. None of us were overly unhealthy, just occasionally we had diarrhoea from the lack of running water and the cows by the fence at the back door gave us the odd bug. None of us developed brucellocis from the cows, yet I knew someone who lived in the city who had it. There's a whole generation of people younger than me who don't know how to cook, don't know where their food comes from or how it is grown. And it all changed in less than 40 years. Sugar is the enemy. Sugar is the weapon of choice of the governments. Sugar and other addictive substances is where they make their money. If it's a foodstuff that doesn't have any of the addictive ingredients, it's not taxed. It's widespread manipulation of the masses. If we plant and grow our own food, we can't be taxed on it or manipulated into eating something we haven't grown, and we get off the hamster wheel.

This is such important information & we need more doctors like this. I have drastically reduced processed food & added sugar & now try to have at least 14 hours with no food. Haven’t got down to one meal a day but I no longer eat because the clock tells me I should. Also I’m having much more plant diversity to help my gut health but still eat some meat, eggs, fish & dairy. I’ve lost 10lbs so far which means I’m no longer in the overweight category & the knee pain I’ve had for 3 years has improved a lot. Brilliant talk!

38:52 He's spot on!! My brother had a friend in the Florida Keys, Doc. Scutter. He was amazing. He told my brother that she didn't have dementia in the normal sense (my words) It's a matter of hydraulics. She's taking meds for her heart and it was cutting off the oxygen supply needed for her brain as well. Vascular dementia, I figured. I live in Maine. I also heard that Dementia is referred to as Diabetes 3. I just HEARD that. I can't confirm it. Interesting, hah?

This video saved my life. I lost 150 lbs in 1.5 years. Keto and intermittent fasting one meal a day did the trick. My cardiologist tells me I am his best patient. I'm off CPAP for good. I only take one medication, because my doctor told me I no longer needed the others he had prescribed. This is the video I recommend when people (many healthcare professionals) ask how I got healthy. Dr. Jason Fung (on KZbin) was also a huge help.

Intermittent fasting almost seems like a miracle. I'm doing it for health, not weight loss, and in the last 2 weeks I've experienced increased mental clarity and mood, and I'm also watching the stubborn tire around my waist melt before my eyes. I eat one meal a day, have significantly cut down my sugar to a couple teaspoons a day, if that, and I'm much more aware of what I eat because I want to get enough nutrition with my one meal. It has become a lifestyle and I don't see myself going back to what I used to consume (at least half a cup of sugar a day and lots of carbs).
