Directions to See a Ghost is my favorite Black Angels album. "18 Years" and "Deer-Ree-Shee" are my favorite Black Angels songs, the band hitting a high, a creative psychedelic peak. The ending of "18 Years" flows seamlessly into the intro of "Deer-Ree-Shee" and the outro of "Deer-Ree-Shee" is mystical. What a trip!
@Craig3327 жыл бұрын
that outro...temporarily separates soul from body

so too does that intro

One of the rare actual rock band able to make me travel so high with so powerful riff... Easily the best band of the 2000's and the best psyche achievement in sound nowadays...this band is a legend to me now :)

@MrKolshack Well stated. This is the best band I have heard in decades. Truly inspired creativity. They are taking some of the best of the late 60's sound, inspired by Velvet Underground, Doors, and other, to new heights.

@Rep6794 - Fable 3 is one of the ways they were introduced to larger masses, catching on people who otherwise may not have stumbled upon this gem. It's their talent makes them popular.

I don"t know if I can get any help with this, but I'm trying to work out the sitar part for this song. It sounds like the scale he's playing is the bilawal with Sa tuned to C natural, with Ma above middle C occasionally raised a half step. It's a bit to rapid for me to keep up sometimes; I haven't been playing sitar that long. If I could get the notation for the Indian solfeggio it would be very helpful, i.e. sa re ga, etc. cuz I have the notes for the ma string memorized
