Last week I ran into Brian at the Detroit airport. He would have been totally justified in ignoring me, since I was probably obnoxious with excitement and he was in a hurry, but he still took a minute to chat with me and let me take a selfie. You probably won’t read this, but that meant so much, and thank you. Man, that's so unfortunate that venue became what it did. I used to drive from Shreveport, LA (3 hours give/take) and catch shows there a lot and the (former) staff and owners were all great people. The owner, a lady who had purple hair and two big ass white dogs who were gigantic teddy bears, used to hang out at the entrance when doors would open. After a while she started recognizing me and my friends and welcoming us into her establishment with a warm hug, welcoming us back to TX any time we were there. Got to hang out and party w a lot of my favorite bands there too. Sad to see it is owned by assholes and has a crybaby staff. What a shitshow!

Apparently, there is a pretty wild story about the guy who owned the head shop next door. I don't recall all the details, but it was something illegal af and money laundering. 🤣

Fort Worth is my hometown, I was at that show. Good times, the vibe was killer. So much emotion, Frozen Soul was awesome, they’re from Fort Worth too. The venue owners were being dicks, so sad to see that historical theater being run by shitty people.

It used to be amazing. I would go almost every weekend to catch metal shows there in 2008-2011. They got a new owner and tried to make it a fancy place. I noticed a dramatic shift once they stopped allowing indoor smoking and they wouldn’t let us party in the parking lot anymore. Next thing we knew, no metal bands were playing there anymore. That was until last year when I started noticing more metal coming back to it which really excited me. Seeing how the staff acted on this tour really was a blow to my hope of metal being in Fort Worth again. I live in a rural town on the FW side and am broke af so making it to Dallas is an ordeal. Sucks ass but I don’t blame anybody for not wanting to play somewhere with such bitchy owners.
