FYI, Daemon is not supposed to have facial hair. It's a trait of the Hayllian race. I loved the characters for Dorothea and Hekatah. They were dead on. Good job. :)

I believe that although the movie if done well could be one of the greatest fantasies of all time it is impossible because of the depth and perspective that would lack visually though. I'm not on board with Kirsten Dunst as an older Janelle, I can't think of any actress that could really channel Janelle or Daemon for that matter. I don't picture him as a large and muscled hunk, but more streamlined and ambiguous. Thus is why I am thankful they haven't attempted to adapt the novel to screen. Although Connery as Saeten could be entertaining.

I'm still waffling on the choice of Sean Connery as Saetan... in my head I see more of a Liam Neesom or heck even a younger Anthony Hopkins when I'm reading. Haha, didn't like her casting of Kirsten Dunst as Jeanelle tho and would have liked someone like Dakota Fanning better but the first picture of Kirsten Dunst in Interview with the vampire was spot on so I can't really complain. And again with Daemon and facial hair, it's really difficult to cast Daemon. I liked the person who was cast as Lucivar for Daemon better, but I loved the book promo :). Loved this video.

@SereneBlood I agree. I don't think any actor could really pull off the depth of the characters. I kinda would like to see a movie, but deep down I pray they never will because you know they'd change the story around and ruin the deep story of the book.

I would LOVE to see a movie based on the Black Jewels or more specifically Janelle. But It would probably end up being a disappointment to the series. Every book turned movie/tv series always seems to ruin the story.

lovely, I like Kirsten Dunst as Jaenelle strangely, I keep seeing the guy who plays E. J. (i think thats his name) in the soap opera Days of Our Lives as Daemon. Might be the link between the show's sex icon and the book's sex icon or just how my brain works... The trailer is awesome and hte music perfect.

they just should make a series like spartacus, i wonder if producers think this would be tricky though because sex does sell but most of the sex in the books is disturbing because it isn't consensual. that is the only excuse i can come up with for why no there is no film being made. The characters and story are friggin amazing.

actually Lucivar is described having golden skin, and the creator of this vid says these are just who THEY picture when reading the books. Not everyone will have the same vision as you. Personally, I picture Tom Hiddleston as Daemon and Chris Hemsworth as a more Lucivar type (granted both need to darken their hair and maybe get a good tan, but hey, that's what I see when I read these books). And my vision of who they are has changed over the years. I've been a fan of the series since the books were firsts released and read them every year at least twice. I know this series backwards and forwards.
