Thanks for this upload. This VHS came free with 'Murdercase' Magazine late 80's early 90's. Excellent publications, sold them all in the end. Love the way Bill Waddell presents it.

Thanks for putting this clip on here. I remember this being on the TV and I recorded it on video and my TV aerial was rubbish hence so was the video recording ! I still have it though, as it was all I had. I went to the Crime exhibition at the Museum of London yesterday and many of these exhibits are on show there and I was hoping there would be a DVD of Bill Waddell and his Black Museum, but there wasn't. I'm really happy that this has been downloaded onto here. Thanks very much. :)

I do love the droll and dry wit of the British from the past. I was 10 when the great train robbery happened. The drama and the mystery kept everyone enthralled for years.

True story: My grandfather worked on the montrose, did a repair, and the wood that was removed and replaced he made this awesome oblong stool/seat,,,, arched legs slats on top (if that makes sense) wish i cold post a picture of it as it is a fine piece of furniture....the detail is out of this world

England has swung too far the other way and they will repetedly regret that. EX. DENNIS NEILSON-KILLS 15 YOUNG MEN BRUTALLY, DISPOSES OF THEM BRUTALLY AND ENGLAND GIVES HIM-WAIT FOR IT-25 YEARS. That is appalling. Less than 2 yrs for each young mans murder? Alert: All psychopaths go to England, Australia, or Canada to kill. Guaranteed free shelter, medical and food for a few years and then you will def be released. #Shame

Ive been a fan of this doc ever since it was broadcast in 1988, despite the first 15 minutes being a bit of a mess. It gets into its stride well after that. The music is superb, especially the Train Robbery section.

Would not the purchase of large amounts of acid piqued the curiosity of the supplier?
@chuckabutty8885 жыл бұрын
He was hired as an engineer for Hurstleigh Products who leased him the company storeroom on Leopold road. it would have been easy to purchase the acid as and when he wanted.

What's strange about the Crippen case is later DNA on the buried body shows it was male. Funny how today's Scotland yard doesn't mention that huge fact. Tho i believe he got rid of his wife, it is now pathetically obvious, the body they found was not a womans
@nicolek40767 жыл бұрын
Ohh caught them in an anachronism. In Flannelfoot, the bike stolen has a rear mud-guard painted white - which was done in WWII during the black-out. The story is set in 1937, at least three years before the black-out.

How did they know his wife was dead to be looking for him?
@markshere1006 жыл бұрын
What evidence of this have you, or is this just another urban myth?
@Ksknight1005 жыл бұрын
That new DNA revelation is highly disputed and was carried out on a tiny sample that is over a century old now and by a private company using a new technique that is, as yet, unproven. Crippen's behaviour was certainly extremely suspicious; why did he flee so quickly after police questioning for eg? What happened to Cora? If the body wasn't her then why wasn't she ever seen or heard of again? That body may not have been Cora, but Crippen's actions suggest that he KNEW he was about to be arrested for murder. So he was hanged for his wife's murder even though that may have not been his wife's body? IF that "new evidence" is true, then all it means is that he murdered an unknown male as well as his wife.
