Meh, anyone with a brain that is balls deep in the gaming community can separate the game from the movie. Borderlands is still a massive series and its millions of fans will be anticipating the 4th game. 3 was a good game, but the predecessors were so good that it set the bar too high to match. Jack was just an A class villain that Boarderlands 3 found it hard to live up to. Here’s hoping they take the learnings and experiences from 3 and transition it to Borderlands 4.

Kind of like the morons that keep buying the same jank Bethesda games every year. (I like Borderlands btw ) Like any other business, especially in video games, their whole goal now is to expand their audience to increase sales and market share by either convincing Gamers who have never played these games before or reaching out to the general population. That's the whole point of them making the movie the same thing with any of the other video game companies making movies and TV shows and books. It's to reach audiences that would have never played these games before. And if you ask most people now about Borderlands the first thing that flies out of their mouth is instead of oh. Those are those cell shaded first person shooter games is now oh, it's that shitty movie that bombed and I watched hilarious KZbin videos about how bad it was. And that's probably why Borderlands 4. Kind of got the reception that it did is because that's now what people think of the franchise. So now this game is going to have to work uphill in order to be like look. We're bucking the trend where the resident Evil 7 of our series please help. 🤣

Wukong is a single player game. I don't know why we're looking at the concurrent players like it's an online multiplayer game when the player count is a natural reflection of whatever the pre-order and day one buyer numbers were. People who get a game at release, tend to play it the day of release.

The other piece of information missing when attempting to compare concurrent player counts between games is that a lot of games are outright banned in China given the strict control/censorship of the Chinese government. So to purchase those banned games, Chinese consumers have to use international versions of Steam or other methods to play those games, which probably dwarfs what the sales numbers would be if access was free and easy like in the West. Black Myth Wukong is different in that its available day 1 in China and appeases the censorship guidelines. Apples to oranges comparison in a sense and somehow all these journalists writing articles seem to forget how numbers work.

i love Black Myth Wukong, i'm having a blast with it, the art design is top notch and the bosses and fight choreography are incredible (i've finally found a game where it focuses more on bosses while being more forgiving, i would love to play Souls and Bloodborne and all the rest for the bosses but they were too challenging for me, i know this isn't a boss rush game but it's just how i feel)

I get it if the games shown at an event like Gamescom weren't interesting to people, but we knew most of the games going into it. Also, this many announcements means most of it will probably not land for an individual person. Because of that, I'm usually left wondering what people were expecting. I gave in and downloaded Black Myth Wukong yesterday on PS5. It's fantastic... in Performance Mode. Wouldn't recommend the Graphics or Balanced mode, but for this type of game you really need 60fps if possible. Excellent game so far. 👍

I picked up the Atari 2600+ from last year and like the new 7800+ it is really nice. It isn't a 'mini' with built in games, it uses real game cartridges from the 80's and there are new game cartridges being made - new carts of old games and new carts of newly made games. It's great since it natively outputs HDMI, doesn't restrict you to a set list of games, and looks just like the original but about 20% smaller.

I believe that the SD cards that have the Nintendo name on it go through a more rigorous QA process. SD cards can be a minefield, of poorly run brands and an incredible amount of standards to keep track of. If someone unaware of the vast range of quality and speeds of cards buys one of the Pokemon, or Mario, or Zelda cards you're guaranteed for that card to be up to spec.

At least we're getting what looks like a Mega man episode in that new Amazon series. Looks like the trend of other companies caring about Mega Man more than Capcom does continues. I really hope we get a new game in the series at SOME POINT in the near future.

Honestly the problem with gamescom was that there were too many games that we’d already seen before and a lot of the new reveals were cool but too niche for a wide audience.

The reaction to gaming news these days is 21:14 the reason why things like this won''t last. They will all die like E3 and it's all sad. As a gamer(very old one) I have seen the transition first hand and I never thought seeing 40 games announced would get such a mediocre reaction. I remember the days waiting for a magazine to tell me months later that a single game was announced. We are so spoiled these days and it's sad to see. 21:14 21:14
