James Spader is definitely what makes the show. I'll just be repeating what everyone else is already saying, but he IS Raymond Reddington. In person he's seems to be just as fun and authentic as in the show. I love how its his first panel and he's so relaxed. Casually walking up and down to replace that chair while the panel is already going, and then when asked a question just pausing and staring. What more is there to say? He's one of those people where its rude to only ask for an autograph, because he deserves to be sat down with and listened to.

Reddington has become one of my favorite characters on television. Here it is 2020 and watching Red evolve through The Blacklist seasons has delivered sweet notes of recognition, of commonalities that resonate with us all. It's a foray into the human condition. The shrewd and cunning criminal, highly dangerous is himself discovering within himself, various types of love, depths of compassion, and a sense of fair play, and even of justice, with the right amount of twisted. The episode that aired April 17th was poignantly satisfying. Red does exactly what needs to be done, and perhaps what many of us would like to do, as he delivers his brand of justice to the greedy and negligent gun manufacturer. It was Red's finger that squeezed the trigger, but it was my finger too. Satisfaction a-la-carte.

I agree, love this show but Spader is ridiculously awesome. Sometimes Keen (aka Megan) pisses me off. Please watch his earlier work. I can provide examples if necessary (he will always be Steff or Alan Shore to me)......lol

Same for me. It's fascinating how this show can catch someone. Each episode is so unique. You never know what will happen next. I mean you REALLY DONT KNOW. And thats something very rare. Usually you can anticipate what happens next after 5 episodes of an average TV-Show. But Blacklist is quite different. I love it. Not to mention that James Spader is a hell of an actor (I'm a huge fan of him since Boston Legal).

Love James Spader showing his OCD-ness with chair switching. Even after that, you could tell he totally hated those chairs. The creators just watched him like "Yeah....he does that....a lot." Friend, let me help you with some Spader greatness: Please watch the following movies: Pretty in Pink, Sex Lies and Videotape, Wall Street, Wolf, Crash, Bad Influence, White Palace, Dream Lover, True Colors and Secretary (aka the original Mr Grey). Afterwards watch TV series: Start with The Practice (only season 8...last season) and then Boston Legal (the next chapter of the practice but all Alan Shore), this is the GREAT James Spader. If you still only claim this man to be Raymond Reddington or Ultron, your ability to see great acting will be REVOKED! Lol just kidding. He's not the prominent role in every movie but still awesome.

After years of putting off this show I have finally given it a chance this week and after finishing these first ten episodes I cannot think of another show that’s gripped and enthralled me more. James Spader, Megan Boone, and the rest of the cast have been phenomenal with these characters. Watching James and Diego during James’ monologue about what he wanted was some of the best acting I’ve seen in a long time. I can’t imagine what’s in store from here on out.

I never expected I would look forward to every episode every Tuesday here in the Philippines. I would not accept any invitation or I would I see to it that I am at home already before air time. I love every episode because the stories are done so intelligently mind boggling and would make you really think critically. I love the cast; they are perfect for their characters; the creators are young people but brilliant. how can every scene with reddington be so fantastic? and for 10 years straight. the writing for him and his delivery makes you hang on his every word. it's rare that a character/show can suspend my disbelief in order for me to feel scared or sad or disturbed even though i'm safe at home. i'm quite sad i cant watch it against for the first time. there's nothing like not knowing what red will do next.
