LOL, this was my film! Love this movie, and it' struck a cord with me from first viewing. Love underlying the themes of Cain and Abel, and Romeo and Juliet. Fantastic cinematography-especially those love scenes- the best I've seen in film😏) And I think his loyalty to this family isn't a problem. It's very realistic, as to Jason is also dealing with the trauma, and loss from his father, and the impact it had on his family. Also has the guilt from allowing his brother to take the fall, and end up in prison. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I would actually put this film above Love Jones, as far as black romance. The plot is way better put together, with great cinematography, pacing, and well built up romance.

Nice Work!! Your review gives me a deeper appreciation for this film and the actors. Lahmard Tate is highly underrated in my opinion, there’s something about his understated authenticity that commands the screen in all his scenes/movies.

I stopped watching this movie 2 years ago. It’s not really my type of movie anymore but I love the soundtrack the most. It’s got that one amazing hit song “U will know”. I don’t love the movie anymore but I love the soundtrack.

Thank you for this request. I had no business watching this movie at 13 years old. This movie is a good brother bad brother story mixed with colorism. They sounded like they were fresh off the plantation with those horrible accents. Bokeem Woodbine is horrible when it comes to bank robberies & heists. This movie, Dead Presidents & Caught Up. Jada Pinkett was trying to escape from her surroundings. Fun facts: Allen Payne & Jada Pinkett also appeared on A Different World, Allen Payne & Eddie Griffin were also in The Walking Dead (1995), Bokeem Woodbine & Lahmard Tate were also in Panther, Bokeem Woodbine & Lisa Nicole Carson were also in Life, Allen Payne & Treach were also in Players Ball & New Jack City Live. Can we please get a review on the following movie: Panther The Walking Dead (1995)
